I had no idea and would love to know the rest of the story.  Because she is from Canada and I was wondering how and where it happened?  Hopefully, she will be on tour with them.  She also likes to rescue animals and they have been involved in some charities he has done shows for.

Yes, it is definitely a must see.

Now that my memory is jogged, I remember I saw them together.  The way that I remembered, it was  the only concert I bought 3 shirts for the 3 different acts.

It was at one of my favorite venues,  the Concord Pavillion.  Many a glorious concert there.
One of the best concerts I ever went to cause it had 3 of my favorites. 

Kenny Wayne Shepherd was the opener. Then it was Paul Rodgers.  Then it was Lynyrd Skynyrd.
I wonder if that was the time Paul met his wife.  I so loved that show.  I wish Kenny was with them again.

I remember seeing Noah come out when Paul Rodgers was on.  He was watching Paul sing for a few songs.

TRC - that's the tour I saw when I was on holiday in San Francisco. I think Concord was the day after Mountain View.

I believe Bad Co are to add more dates without Skynyrd.

Mentioning the Concord Pavillion brings back sooooo many memories! Having grown up in Walnut Creek and the surrounding area made this like a backyard venue. the Pavillion's heyday was when Bill Graham Presents handled the bookings for the City of Concord which built and owns the venue. The annual summer concert series was a who's who of top notch bands and solo artists with lots of perks for season patrons. Unfortunately Bill Graham was @ a Huey Lewis show and insisted on leaving in his private helicopter in very inclimate weather and never made it home. I saw Skynyrd on a Sunday afternoon in Sept. '77 for the last time before the plane crash a little more than a month later. BGP wanted more control over the venue, which the city denied which gave BGP incentive to build their own pavillion type venue, the Shoreline Ampitheater. At the time of Bill's passing BGP was in negotiations and doing environmental impact studies to build another ampitheater right here in Benicia where I live. That woulda been very convienent! A couple of other memorable shows were, The Tubes on a Halloween night around '76/'77 and one of BB's Blues, Brews, & BBQ tours with Susan Tedeski, Tommy Castro, Buddy Guy, and BB. Oh! how could I forget the Sammy Hagar show that ended with the original Montrose line up closing the show with 5 of their major hits for the encore!!!

We just missed each other. Awwwww.  So happy that you got to see that show.
Shoreline is a cool place.

Yes, I saw many a great show there.  I loved the acoustics and the seating. 

I didn't know about the other venue in Benicia.  Bay Area Music and Bill Graham just go hand in hand.  I will never forget when I heard of his passing.  It was a shock.  He did so much for music.
I owe him a lot for all the great concerts he put together because they were a big part of my life.
He sure knew how to book them.  He was a great man with a lot of integrity.
