I think setting things up to download/convert these things is a bit daunting for a lot of people.  I must admit if my son hadn't helped me out at the beginning I  am not sure I would have figured it out.  Plus, the amount of hard drive space it eats up is nasty (I need to weed thru my picture files to make some room).  That said, I have been able to get some amazing stuff from a couple of the torrent sites.  Thanks for sharing all of these - I am sure it was a lot of work.

Would love to have the chance to listen to these shows but cannot access Dime - perhaps other torrent providers would put these recordings out to a wider audience?

Just listening to the late set now...amazing. Thanks to Phil and all the other tapers who share on DIME. I've been on there for years and have enough music and video now to last a lifetime!
Would love the Rock Candy line up to come and tour the UK....Ronnie Scotts please would be a cool venue...or the Borderline!

I think you're right, Sandy, people are probably a little overwhelmed by the process. It does require registering with the site and keeping a ratio going of downloads, and you can't upload until you've downloaded for a while. Phil has been trading "tapes" for about 25 years and having the internet access is such a huge improvement in obtainable items over having to literally go to someones house like we used to do. I must say you lose the social aspect of the whole process though.  No more hanging out and discussing the merits of particular shows anymore, all you get now are a few little one line comments. The world has changed. At least some of the recording quality has improved, though.
