I spent a good bit of time with Eric this weekend, and he is going to have an amazing year! Here's a cool video I shot from NAMM with EG, Doug Wimbish, and Bernard Fowler:

Wowza Yowza,

That is one freaking line-up.  This is such fantastic news!  Thank you Tony.  I can't wait to hear what this is going to sound like, especially with your descriptions in your blog.  It just makes me salivate.
Eric Gales by himself, I flip over.  So seeing these 3 guys together, I can't wait to see what they create.

Great clip from NAMM.  Lol at Eric's guitar strap.  All he needs now is a police siren on his guitar to go with it, ha ha.  Crazy cool too, to see Stevie Salas enjoying the show.

Also, saw your update on Uli, very cool.  Saw where he was part of the Jason Becker concert. Too wonderful for words. I know they are friends.  Metal Love Jason :hug

Great review Tony. I can't wait to get it and am very happy for EG. He's had some stones in his passway. Monster players all.

thanks again Tony for an awesomely eloquent ballbusting review. I shared it with my son and created a monster, now it appears that Feb 12 is Xmas day all over again. Are we there yet, huh, huh........ You did a great job on it.

Re: Pinnick Gales Pridgen - Great New Record :)

well after several listens this weekend I agree with Tony, this is a great first effort for PGP. If you like Rush, Zep, Living Color, and yes maybe even BCC as Tony infers, you need to give it a listen. I'm not blown away by all of the songs, 2 of the weaker sisters on the menu are Doug's songs Wishing Well and Frightening, although they are growing on me. My favorites on the CD are Angels and Aliens, Lacivious, and Sunshine of Your Love. But the best song to me by far is The Greatest Love. This is an absolute masterpiece. I must note that Thomas Pridgen is a beast on the drums, I was very impressed with his playing.
I have this firmly cemented into my top 10 for the year so far, even though it's early on. My only complaint is that I wish it had been a 2 CD set and they had included more covers.

I see they have made these views "private", whatever that means. Not sure why they did that but I'll try to post again if possible.

EG playing a small club near me.  Theater 166 in Carrolton TX on Friday Aril 19.  probably 200 seat house.  $15 and BYOB.  Anyone wanna come can stay at my house.  Hopefully he plays some stuff off of the new record

Re: Pinnick Gales Pridgen - Great New Record :)

well, I checked their website and it's just the Eric Gales Band, not PGP so he may or may not play some of the new stuff. You would think maybe at least a song or two. Wish I could make it out there, thanks for the offer but have already seen him so many times. I'm sure it will be mucho fun just like the Coach House. Don't forget to wear your dancing shoes. lol
Please do tell him that Big Daddy and Arthur IV say hey from B'ham, we have not seen him in quite a while. Did you get a copy of PGP yet?

Re: Pinnick Gales Pridgen - Great New Record :)

somebody put up Wishing Well, I really like it a lot more now after a few listens. I was taken aback at first with Dug's yelling "yeah" all the way through but it still works. Still it's not one of the better songs on the CD. you know, Eric was nice enough to include Arthur IV in the liner credits again even though he had nothing to do with this release. We miss you too EG.
