RCFP is something I have been enjoying so much.I alwys loved fusion of the 70's and this brings that sound back.Hip hop? Really you can't tell the difference between funk and hip hop? I'm suprised by how many here don't like it,but same for BCC.If Joe does a country cd I will probably finally have something to say "ehh" about. For now This disc is on my all time favs list for its genre.I have a somewhat large collection of vinyl from fusion bands from back in the day. This album has a lot more to offer due to its funky nature.Sometimes fusion can get a bit celebral, which probably loses a lot of folks.RCFP is much more accessable I would say.
I know that everyone has their own tastes and that what makes the world go round.so if you don't like it then whatcha gonna do? Me I'm goin to root down and funk the party! Play that funky music white boy!
Now we're talking Gary. I'm a big fan of that stuff too. I bet Joe could fire off some wicked country chops if he had a mind to. (not all of it is my cuppa, but there is some good stuff out there) As I recall, that was part of his tutelage under Danny Gatton with some Bluegrass to boot. I've heard some pretty good twangy stuff from that tele. That would sure set some hair on fire.

Like Revenge of the 10 gallon Hat (HTCT)...that is pretty much country and will pretty much set your hair in fire!
I love that tune, some downhome Texas sh*tkickin boot stompin hoedown stuff. He may have gotten the idea for that one from a song or two by Eric Johnson, he can play that as well. Bill, I'm still laughing at your comment "don't you realize that Joe reads this stuff", and I think he forgot about that otherwise maybe it would have been stated differently. I'll cut him some slack on this one.

I'm in. I think a tele-rockin' country-rock, blues flavored album would be awesome, open some new doors and/or gain a whole new audience. Hmmmm....

You betcha! His forays down to do studio work in Nashville may lead to some fertile ground. Modern Country has a huge audience!
I'm on board with this as well, seems like a very natural progression for JB at some point. and think about the guests he could have on it - maybe Vince Gill, EJ, Brent Mason, possibly even John Hiatt. Sounds like a winner in the making, release date please Joe?

Down boys! I think ya'll scared Dogeater away. Ain't the first time and it won't be the last that a dissenter has caught the wrath! Personally I hope the dude has the cojones to hang.

Damn Tres, Brent Mason! Frickin' awesome country picker. I used to watch him play in Mark O'Connor's house band on a TNN show every week, which I can't find the name of. It was ....something Shoppe. It featured a current Country star sittin' in each week, but the house band stole the show. If you don't know Mark's name then look it up! Grammy winning fiddle player. I've got his Grammy winning disc The New Nashville Cats that features Brent, among many others.

Hey now. One derogatory post was the instigation to bring this clip to light? I'm loving the way this thread has gone. Come back Dogeater. We don't bite.
Man that chick is HOT and such a great band. Joe can do that stuff any day he wants.

I'm willing to cut him some slack too. Someone once told me its all in the delivery. You can tell a woman that she has a face that will make time stand still...or that she has a face that will stop a clock. You're basically saying the same thing, but with vastly different results.

Yeah a new direction for Ana. She relocated from Amsterdam to Memphis and injected her Bluesrock with some Memphis soul. I was already a fan, but this new sound is awesome! Unfortunately she's not hittin' the West Coast with the new band any time soon, hopefully that might change.
Serb Chicks Rock!!!

yes, Mark is a great studio musician, has played with everybody who's anybody. Brent can flat light it up, he has also played with a lot of notable country artists. Rockfarmer and I share a birthday with Brent, how bout dat?

Not sure what year but Brent also won a Grammy for best country instrumental, for this song, even though it came out on a Brad Paisley CD. And there's another name that could go on the list for Joe's new upcoming country release ***warning, bogus info***. There, I've committed him to it, no rush Joe just try and fit it in between continent changes. Sound a little like 10 Gallon Hat?

this is the one I really love, with Vince sounding a lot like Larry Carlton.

I wonder if Paisley came up with that intro lick after listening to Double Trouble by Skynyrd?
