Topic: Show #1 Zurich

Maggie has posted the set list on FB. I'm sure the reviews will come in soon. I can't wait!! It's been TOO long.:)

Joe started with an acoustic set reminiscent of Vienna with Palm Trees, Seagull, Dislocated boy, Driving toward the Daylight, and Woke up Dreaming. This was followed by the full band playing SlowTrain, Dust Bowl, Who's been Talking,Stop, Ballad of John Henry, Sloe Gin, Lonesome Road Blues, Midnight Blues, Young Man's Blues, and Django/Mountain Time. As an encore Asking Around for You and Just got Paid.

Thanks Maggie smile

Re: Show #1 Zurich

In watching some of the YouTube footage from last night, it appears that Rick is no longer in the band as Arland was playing keys. Does anyone know what happened to Rick?

Re: Show #1 Zurich

Sad to say there's no major change in that selection (apart from Rick that is, which wasn't what I meant).

Re: Show #1 Zurich

There's a big learning curve for Arlan to accomplish before London since the back catalog will be covered in depth. I imagine that more variation will be added as the tour goes on. Nothing on why Rick was replaced has come forth. It just happened and the band rolls on. IMO Arlan is a great addition from the stuff I've heard in his studio work on recent releases and the RCFP shows in past years. Godspeed to Rick and welcome Arlan.

Interesting enough
They haven't changed the Main JB web site and still show Rick's Bio.

I think they need to do an update

Cool to see Stop and Asking Around For You in a set list.

Excited to see that too. I only wish Happier Times and Tea for One were in there.
