Topic: King King

For those of you who know the music of the Nimmo Brothers you may know about the album "Take My Hand" already, maybe even own it. There's not a bad track on it and I would highly recommend it - take a gamble or order from Santa.

Better still, order from here http://www.kingkingblues.com/store.html  smile

Kenny's right - it's a super album and should fit right in to any blues lovers collection.
Also check out the UK and European dates on the website. Seen them live a few times and you're always sure of a fun night.

Please be in no doubt that this is the REAL ME! Beware imposters........................

Re: King King

Like the Nimmo Brothers they are on my gig wish list, but like the Nimmos they seem only to tour near the Dutch coast.
Too far for me.

Re: King King

Nimmo Brothers are currently doing the rounds in the UK at the mo, quite close to me actually, Guisborough last night and newcastle tonight. In December Lindsay Coulsonand Alan Nimmo are in the backing band for Alamo Leal - Alan is playing drums!!! Think KIng King are back on the road in the New Year, I know for certain they're playing my local RnB club in Sedgefield in February. Ligho, I'll bend Alan's ear and try to get him to play nearer to you.

As for the album, I said when it was released earlier this year that it would set the benchmark for releases in the UK this year; I'll still stand by that though there's a couple come close.

Re: King King

Just got the new album "Take My Hand" and it's a real corker!!! plus they're performing at the Flowerpot in Derby next month on the 25th just three days before Beth Hart.

Now that's got to be two gigs to really look forward to  smile

Re: King King

I really like this band. They won "Best Band" and "Best Album" at the 2012 British Blues Awards. (I dig the kilts too!) I know I've seen the Nimmo Brothers mentioned before, but I don't know how familiar others, outside Europe, are with them. Lots of video on their site.   http://kingkingblues.com/

Wow! What a band and what a show yesterday in Troisdorf! Most time of the show I had a smile in my face....

Without this forum I would not take notice of this show 5 miles away from my home....thanks!

Re: King King

Know which smile you are speaking about - had it in my face when they played at Topos in Leverkusen last year.
Intended to make a trip to Troisdorf yesterday - but had to work longer and when I came out of the office it was so foggy that I decided not to drive 90 km.

Re: King King

Saw them on Valentinesday again at Hasselt Belgium and they played again an awesome gig.

Re: King King

October 19th 2012 - only four month ago today: that was the first time when I heard of KING KING and listened to their first cd TAKE MY HEAD in the Cafe BLAUWE WOLK in Zottegem/Belgium.

And now last Saturday I saw them at the Blues Garage for a second time "live on stage" . . .
Fantastic gig!!!

Sorry, Walter, I was watching your videos . . . even if the were for Blues Sissi
