Topic: Joe Bonamassa Fans NASCAR Fantasy League

If you are a NASCAR fan and like to play Nascar Fantasy Racing, I have created a League for Joe Bonamassa fans.

All you need to do is Logon on or Create an account at NASCAR.com

Open the Fantasy tab locates at the top right of the Nascar web page and create your Fantasy name.

Search for the League: Joe Bonamassa Fans, League password: Goldtop77

Then just select your Fantasy drivers each Race starting at Daytona next week.

The winner will get Bragging Rights until we do it again in 2014

Tried numerous times to get on board. The site isn't what I would call user friendly and took an age to load so I think they have some issues.

When I eventually got to the live game field and tried to get in I got a screen message to say they have some technical issues.

I'm registered on there so I guess I'll have to try again. Surprising though to find such a massive sport with such a pony website. More money than sense?

I'll get there eventually. I'm having some patience issues today.

Same deal here. No screen msg but slow as a snail race. I got to the search function and it stalled. I'll keep trying.
edit: I got in to the make picks for the main fantasy league but couldn't find the JoeB group. I made a $98 group. Flyingfingers is my entry.

After you create your account at Nascar.com, PM me your email address and I will send you the Invite from the league. It's a direct link. This should make thing easier.

I was having issues the other night, It was fine yesterday. Today, I am not having any problems. NASCAR.com changes the page every season to give it a freash look. I guess that they are having some issues. I hope it gets better before next weekend.

I hope they are having some issues!  Gotta say I hate the new site.  It wasn't that great in recent years the way it was, now it's downright crappy.  Not a fan of Danica's dramatic love life nonsense either...  Still love stock car racing though.

OK, I got in. Log in to Nascar's site first, create your username, then use the direct link Bill provided. http://soc.li/MMx1jAX (thanks!) use "Joe Bonamassa Fans" in the team search field and the "goldtop77" p/w (without the quotes) once the team is displayed. They are case-sensitive. I still haven't figured out how to see our team picks yet and if my fantasy pick team came to the group, but I'll mess around and poke some stuff today. That site is far from intuitive! yikes

OK, now I am even more confused. When I joined Bill's group, it showed he and I in the Joe Bonamassa Fans. Now when I go here http://fantasygames.nascar.com/live/entries/36251/picks it only shows me in the group. hmmm. This does show my picks though... hmm

I still see you and I in the League. I have not made my picks, I wait until after final practice to make them. When I do, you won’t see my picks until after the start of the race. You should still be able to see me in the in the League though?

We still have 14 spot available. The racing starts next weekend.

Ready for the shootout. Danica NOT in my picks. She can run fast but in traffic she tends to get messed up, It is going to be interesting seeing who figures out the new chassis first. There could be some strange results. It looks like they took care of the bump drafting though and knocked some speed off the top end as well.

We are still looking for people to join the league to be elagable for the prizes. It is free to join, so if you are interested create an account at Nascar.com then click on Fantasy, located at the top rightside of the page and search foe our league.  join now.

I will open the league to the public Saturday morning to get it filled.

I'm going to do it, just been really really busy and haven't had a chance to register. Looking forward to a lazy weekend coming up this weekend so I'll get registered sometime Saturday if not sooner. Assuming since race is Sunday that Saturday won't be too late?

So far there are 5 in the league. It is kind of round and round to find it but I'm sure you can. Make your 5 driver team first, then join the league. Your team is the league entry. Your picks are hidden until after the race.

Might as well go by color schemes in the livery, or your favorite sponsor or car brand, though the car brand is just a bit of body work since the cars are essentially identical underneath. The trick is to pick the best drivers that fit in that $100 cap. I got  my 5 with fifty cents to spare. smile (now winning is another deal hmm ) Crew choices are rated by past performances. Some crews are perennial top performers and Crew Chief is darn near as important as driver. The best ones know how to cheat without getting caught! I'm going with our home town boy for one. #48! Go Jimmy.
