Topic: Hello from Sea Bright NJ

Relatively new to the forum and Joe but wanted to introduce myself.  Seeing him for the first time at the Beacon in a few months. (Looking for "it goes to 11" litho if anyone wants to sell one)

Hello bump, welcome to the Forum.  You will enjoy it here!  How did you discover Joe?

Sorry, I have no litho here...

You will have a fantastic time at your Beacon "Bonabaptism"!!  Come back and tell us all about it!

You know, I can't be sure.  We go to the Beacon often (Gov't Mule run NYE, Allmans, etc.) and I saw he was playing.  His name sounded familiar but I then bought a few of his albums and fell in love.  Big fan of guitar rock (EC, SRV, Beck, etc) and it hit a note so to speak.

Can't wait to see him live.  Question - does he repeat set lists from night to night? I see he's doing three nights at the Beacon and we're staying a few nights.  We're also doing Crossroads (both nights) and the Allmans run

Re: Hello from Sea Bright NJ

Lucky you!

I know that Joe's set lists were fairly standardized (95%) on his US spring and fall tours last year, but Beacon might be a different story.  Maybe he'll carry over some of the change-ups that everyone expects from his 4 London shows in March... Maybe incorporate some Funk!?  Maybe Beth Hart will be around one night?

Even if it were identical Beacon set lists, I wouldn't be able to stop myself from going to all 3!  Just to get totally saturated and soak up as much Joe as humanly possible.  I'm usually in shock at his shows, so repeats don't go wasted!

Anyone heard anything specific about NYC content in May?

Re: Hello from Sea Bright NJ

I saw Joe back in April 2012 and then in Tulsa Nov. 2012 and his set list had changed for the Tulsa show verses the OKC set list. In a good way, of course. I was pleasantly surprised he had changed it for Tulsa, cuz he played songs from DTTD and "Midnight Blues" which I hadn't seen him play before. He was FANTASTIC at both venues!!

Enjoy Beacon!!!

Re: Hello from Sea Bright NJ

Now that I've heard the stories I may go more than one night as we're staying over a few nights anyway.
