Sessions for Robert J.
One of the best music-dvd´s ever!

And of course nearly every concert - he´s live much better!

The problem is, he has Pop-producers, that don´t fit - startet with Phl Collins in the 80ies...

Re: Eric Clapton - New Album

Fortunately I can't see well so the cover won't bother me at all....  My ears work so there ya go.  I'm sure they (my ears) will be very happy.

Re: Eric Clapton - New Album

Actually his last album sounded like old socks. Nonetheless I´ll see him live in June.

agreed. Somebody here that knows WTH they're talking about is going to have to tell me it is absolutely kickass before I shell out money. The cover he looks a lot more like Kevin Nealon, poor choice of photos.

I suppose the answer to this rhetorical question is expected to be "No". I agree with one exception. From the Cradle (1994) is an outstanding album. Certainly in the top 3 on my personal Clapton album list.

Re: Eric Clapton - New Album

Wonder if he chose to leave the major label or was dropped? The cover is awful and if the music is no more inspiring than that it's probably as wanted as it's title. Clearly an artist lacking inspiration.

I love his old work. I love the charity he's done especially the Crossroads events. We're going both nights this year after Chicago three years ago. That being said his playing lacks the fire to me of his yesteryear and his prices are abominably high.

Re: Eric Clapton - New Album

Eric Burdon released a nice little album this week and blew the bloomers off Bo Diddley's "Before You Accuse Me".  Way more soulful and nastier (with horns) than Clapton's version.  Eric's had a long and fruitful career and is an icon in modern music.  Making bad albums these days isn't how I'll remember him.
