He got some tones I've never heard, much less imagined a guitar could do.

Re: Joe's pedal setup at Baked Potato

I don't have Facebook. I presume it's a stripped down assault weapon of pedaldom?

Any word on his amp?

Thanks,

Re: Joe's pedal setup at Baked Potato

I didn't get a pic, but there were two back behind the keyboards. A Fender and a Kettner (I think),  maybe Joe will let you know. Awesome tones all night, though that classic blues tone we know was nowhere in sight.

Re: Joe's pedal setup at Baked Potato

Thanks Jim. Figured the tube screamer would be in on it. I thought maybe he had a small board but this is true old school, batteries and all. Even looks like duct tape to stick them to the floor, Warren Demartini style.

Re: Joe's pedal setup at Baked Potato

Nice shot... Only 3 pedals huh?!? smile  ... and running the two outside ones on battery power too!

Can't get a clear look at that Ibanez pedal on the left?  Anyone got an ID for it?

Re: Joe's pedal setup at Baked Potato

Looks like an od Ibanez Phase Tone pedal. Those are pretty hard to come by.

Re: Joe's pedal setup at Baked Potato

yeah, it's an Ibanez phase pedal. I took almost the exact same picture. Thanks for posting. I hadn't gotten around to it. I saw some Fender tweed amps between the drums and keys. Couldn't tell the exact models.

Re: Joe's pedal setup at Baked Potato

It's a way different very simple set up. For the most recent shows it was a 1991 Kendrick Bassman and an Eric Clapton twinolux.  For pedals it was a Ring Thing, Tube Screamer and a Ibanez past one. The Les Paul was an original 1957 Goldtop standard. Aka Major Tom.
It's the same guitar I used on the record.
