I just found out about this tonight when my husband was going through his mail which included a mailing from Guitar Center. This news was a full page ad. Cool idea.

I've scoured through the rules, and just wanted to clarify - is this contest only open to US residents?  It seems that way, which would be a shame... oh well...

It looks like it's only in the 48 contiguous United States.

There are some good practice tracks. I am going to try Whale and Quarryman. Luckily I don't make 20K a year as a musician, because then I wouldn't be eligible either. I don't think I've made $20 yet.

I think this is a great contest and good luck to all US forum entrants, as a UK based member, I will play along just for fun ;0)

I am very interested to see how other guitarists approach this and will watch with much interest..

Hi Everyone.,

I feel really nervous posting this here. I have been playing electric guitar for about there years. I hope to enter this contest. Was looking for feedback if this was a strong enough attempt. My style might not be for everyone its pretty much like a 60s psyche sound. I like the crazy sort of sounds a guitar can make. Just wondering what you think of this attempt at the contest. I might try some more again if I have the time.

I played to Blue and Evil and adopted one of my original songs to the track. I go by Ok, Enough these days. Sort of worried sharing this here but figure I might be going with this song as my entry for the contest. Just looking for some thoughts on it if you have a moment to check it out I'd really appreciate it. Not sure if the ending will disqualify me or not I say Hell at the end.
