If you caught My Planet Rocks immediately after Joe's Show on Planet Rock last Sunday, Steve Lukather was interviewed about his career and played some of the tracks he has played on and formed his playing style etc. I hadn't realised until then what an amazing career he has had as he's played on hundreds of tracks over the years as a renowned session musician and in his own right. For instance, did you know he played bass guitar and all the other guitar parts on Michael Jackson's Beat It, except for EVH's solo, of course? He came across as a very confident and interesting person who's been there and done that in life. I think this show may still be available to listen to if you are a VIP member of Planet Rock.
At the moment I'm not sure I can manage his gig on the 29th, but if I can I will.
