Re: Major Congrats Joe #1 on the charts again!

This is excellent news indeed. Congratulations, Joe, you definately deserve it big_smile

Re: Major Congrats Joe #1 on the charts again!

You're most welcome. That info came direct from Joe himself, as I talked with him for close to an hour for an upcoming interview for Rock N Roll Universe.(Stay tuned. it's a good one!) I also believe, and don't quote me on this, but I'm pretty sure that Joe said the album also debuted at #4 on the Top Internet Albums. I'll have to review the tape to make 100% sure of the exact position, but at any rate having one of the top Internet albums is fantastic. Also, the album sold three times as much as 'You & Me' the first week.

Keep on buying those copies and get those gifts for friends and family members!

I'm standing on a mountain side, minding my own business, tending my yaks, and I get word (from a wandering band of renegade yak dealers) that "Sloe Gin" enters  at #1 on the  Billboard BLues chart and also ranks in  the top 200. Right on Joe!

Joe Bonamassa's contribution to the blues/rock culture cannot be overstated; his songs,              guitar, and vocals have become part of the blue's DNA.

Re: Major Congrats Joe #1 on the charts again!

I wonder where we can get it to rank for next weeks Billboard top 200 (issue date 9-8-07)?

It has been a while since we had a contest.  Post your guess as to where Sloe Gin will rank in Billboards top 200  for the issue date 9-8-2007. by 5pm Friday, Aug. 31st. The person closest will receive an  8x10 of Joe playing Lucille, perfect for an autograph. Only 1 guess per forum member. And only those forum members registered as of this post! Hey Rhonda:

I would love to have Joe sign my pix when they roll into The Rogue Theater in Grants Pass, Oregon next month!
I have just the place to hang it in my music room.

Mark me down at #123.

Particularly after the incredible showing on the Mark & Brian Show.
Does anyone have that on a disc? I was listening on streaming audio on almighty KGON from Portland, and apparently my network was overloaded trying to capture all the notes that Joe and the Boys were layin out, and I missed part of show.

BTW, make sure that The Wing does not double dip! Kidding!!!

Re: Major Congrats Joe #1 on the charts again!

I have to correct this. I just re-listened to what Joe told me, and 'Sloe Gin' is debuting at the #10 spot, not #4 on the Top Internet Albums Chart. Don't know how that happened, as 4 and 10 sound SO much alike. wink Still incredibly impressive nonetheless!

Edited : The #4 is for the Billboard Heatseekers Charts.
