Re: I miss Stu Craig

Hail Saint Stu!!! I'm afraid I need the same class as Angela..So when someone has time, and things are set, please post simple instructions. How current is the radio station list on the fan website? What is a link to the list of "on-line" stations? See how you are needed!!!!! Cathy

Re: I miss Stu Craig

While somewhat outdated in it's current form, the information in the Street Team section of the Fan Website still has some good information about promoting Joe's new records.

The page it appears on is http://www.angelfire.com/blues2/bonamas … team3.html

Something that isn't mentioned there, but is very valuable, it that if you call a radio station and they would like a copy of Joe's new record, be sure to get the person's name and title so it can be addressed and sent directly to that person. Radio stations receive many unsolicited recordings, and having a particular person to send it to will help prevent it ending up in the trash or in someone's home catalog. With a contact name and title, a cover letter can be included that references their phone conversation or email exchange with you.

I don't have a good list of stations anymore, but if everyone simply focuses on their local market that would be great. When "Billy Bob from Louisiana" calls a radio station in Detroit, it's hard to sell the idea that you're a listener :-)

While I have no direct knowledge of it, I am 100% certain that XM and Sirius have been provided copies, but requesting Joe never hurts.

Feel free to email Melissa (or me if you wish) if you have any questions

Re: I miss Stu Craig

Hey Stu, good to see you back on here. I thought it was interesting to hear that a DJ on the breakfast show from probably the most popular radio station in the UK admit to a friend that he didn't actually choose the songs that he plays and has no say in the selection process. I guess we occasionally have to find out who chooses a shows playlist rather than just 'target' the DJ.

To find a "blues" radio station in your area, the Blues Foundation suggests "mary4music" as a reference......Cathy

Re: I miss Stu Craig

How about for the rest of the world? Could we start a list of international stations and list them on here?

Re: I miss Stu Craig

Cathy, I've taken a look at the website and (doh smile ) it's a little confusing. I can't find the international radio stations (mind you, I've just got home from the pub smile ). I just thought it'd be an idea to have a list of all the international stations on this site for easy access to all members.
