Topic: JOE OPENING FOR JOHNNY WINTER AT SRV RIDE IN DALLAS

Joe will be playing with Jim Shuler and I'm wondering if the band will be coming with him.  Looking forward to this BIG time, and only 25 dollars!!!

Hi Rediman, I know it says he's playing with Jim Shuler ( I've never seen , but hear great things about ), just wonder if there just going to shred the place with some SRV covers. Probably wont, just hoping. If I had to pick one it would be "tin pan alley", no make that "lenny" with Joe.

Five years ago we had our "national association of letter carriers" convention in Chicago. I'm in line to pick up some info. for my fellow carriers, and i struck up a conversation with another delegate. He has this huge chain around his neck with SRV letters at the end of it. I eyed him up " you play or just a big fan of Stevie like myself ".The dude puffs out his chest " we play all SRV, I'm from Milwaukee, I play lead. In fact were jamming at Legends friday, come on by". I thought to myself ,this guy is not real humble, so i hit him with " cool, I cant wait for you to play "lenny", it's my fav." The guy looked uncomfortable " oh schitt, I cant play that, it's way to hard".  I chuckled a little," it's OK, just keep practicing, you'll get it down". I helped him out " glad to see one of my brothers covering "the man". I never did make it, Bernard Allison was at another club the same night, I had to see him, damn good to!

The band will definatley be with Joe in Dallas. Just an educated guess that the set will be a Joe b set with Jim sitting in on a song or two.

THat's going to be a great show. Johnny played so well when I saw him in Fayetteville earlier this month. Tore the roof off the place. He wasn't as rockin' as 1970 Johnny Winter, but he still played so good it made your head spin.
