Hey nice guitar would be a great one to have but it is not RAH THE FLYING V that is. Don't get me wrong someone is going to get a gem that Joe has played and previously owned by Adam Ant. I am fortunate to have the RAH Flying V's sister the Explorer, somehow if I purchased this they would not get along.
Cheers Ron

Hey Ron, for sure this isn't the Just Got Paid Flying V from RAH?  Same name, same year, same style, same looks...?  If it were, guess that would definitely have been in the E-Bay description.

So does Joe still have the RAH one, if not do you know who has it?

Re: Joe's Flying V for Sale

I'm still puzzled as to why sentimentality & nostalgia plays such a big role in the pricing of basically pre-owned instruments.

I mean, it was owned by a famous guy, so what? Yes you're entitled to get goosebumps over such a notion if you want, it's a free country (for the most part), but i could never justify an extra couple of grand just because a well-known pair of hands sweated over the fingerboard.

But yea, go nuts

It is not the RAH Flying V. If you look at the letter in the ebay description it states that. Hey it is still a great guitar that Joe has used and previously owned by Adam Ant. Someone is going to be a happy owner.
Cheers Ron

Let's face it if I had the same flying V for sale played by no one but me and the exact same flying V was for sale that was used by a guitar god obviously the guitar god V would get much more money. It is very simple, it is what one is willing to pay and many are willing to capture a piece of history. Look at is as a investment. As time goes on and Joe's career continues to grow this could become a great investment with possibly great returns. It's a gamble but I am sure this same guitar will be worth more money because it was owned by Joe B and Adam Ant then one of us mortals. It is an investment

Re: Joe's Flying V for Sale

This is great.

Ya know, whenever I sell a guitar, I send a note with a story. How I bought it, how old I was, the city, and everything I knew about the history of the guitar before I bought it. People like a pedigree, and even if it doesn't add value to the guitar - it still gives you a perspective on its personality and the background... a story. Everyone likes a story.

Re: Joe's Flying V for Sale

It's not the Just Got Paid Flying V.  It's the Burn Flying V.  Which is pretty cool as well.

And like Nic said, everyone likes a story.

That's such a great idea.  I should have done that when I sold four guitars last year.
