I finished watching the 4 hour Giants parade at city hall in San Francisco, unbelievably organized in just a very short time....seeing the greatest player of alltime brought tears to my eyes, I dont know how much longer Willie Mays has on this earth, but to have him there for the festivities is such a thrill....if only Mays could have played a few decades later, no telling what numbers he would have approached

Well the awards are in....cant believe Cabrera won by that many votes, I'll take Trout over any player in the majors...Buster "Rakes" took home the NL MVP, very nice

I think Cabrera was the right choice, but not by a landslide....if I'm starting a team of position players, Trouter is my first pick...hey only MY opinion

I did get to see Trout play this year. Impressive. We'll see if he avoids the sophomore jinx or not.
Sittin' here enjoying my Xmas dessert, Comcast Sportsnet Bay Area is showing a replay of the Panda Show, Game 1 of the World Series. The best part about it is they replaced the FOX knobs with the Giants regular announcers. I have a good feeling we're gonna win this one!!!

P.S. they replayed Game 7 of the NLCS this morning, Scutaro squeezes the final out off the bat of Holliday, poetic justice!!!
and now 2013 is upon us, damn I can't wait for opening day! very encouraged for the Braves getting the Upton brothers, even with Chipper gone they should have a potent offense. We need Uggla and Simmons to get off to a fast start. What you got this year, hopes and expectations if any?

Padres have new owners and much the same lineup as last fall. Some issues with ped's cropped up in the off season. 
I'm in a wait and see mode. Could be another year or so before they are competitive. Hope that I'm pleasantly surprised.

No, half the city was blacked out, MY HALF 
, but the new owners have said they will strike a deal. A whole year without much coverage and the fans stayed away in droves in protest. A lot were so pissed they made a point of offing long held season's tickets.

I'm ready as ever, we got the Phils tonight and need to get off to a good start. I was real happy to see the Lastros beat Texas last night. Yeah, Rangers just thought they were going to say "welcome to the AL", not so much. Our NL worst showed them up but good. I kind wish they were still with us (NL), usually some easy wins to be had. GO BRAVOS!!!
apparently Bryce Harper is ready, he went deep in his first at bat.
uh, OK.............he went deep again. I'd say he's maybe more than ready.
Braves are looking good, only the one loss to Cliff Lee, and Kris Medlen actually pitched better in that game than he did last night. Our new secret weapon besides Justin Upton who is just killing it, is El Oso Blanco (white bear). He's batting cleanup with a .368 average, had another home run last night to go along with a double. Oddly enough, he's about the same age as Brian McCann who is still on the DL. I have a feeling that Brian won't be catching much this year, probably his last in Atlanta. Evan has been very good behind the plate as well.
First NL east showdown series coming up this weekend, Braves at the Nats.

I just peeked in to mlb.com from the wilds. Sheesh! Glad to be sitting away from the home fires and missing the results. Suspicions confirmed. Padres suck.

Though my Padres are sucking, That brawl put the hurt to one of the FD's best starters. No love lost down here in the freeway shuttle series. I'm on the road home tomorrow so it is time to see if TWC has settled or I dump them for Sat. Also time for the team to get it in gear for my return.
