Topic: Hello

Hi all new to the forum.
I saw Joe in Brighton and I am certain he said something about coming back.
Here is a suggestion:
We have a new venue that really needs christening (an ageing dj just doesn't do the job) so how about the Bonamassa Guitar Festival at the new football stadium. It would give Joe an opportunity to play with all sorts; he could even invite a 70's style rock band to play a set with him.
Clapton has to hold his festival in USA. Joe has been doing what Brits did in the 60's with a small change, he is giving the music a kick up the rear area and bringing it back to GB.

Re: Hello

Welcome to the forum but have to tell you that Joe doesn't play football stadiums.

Re: Hello

hello, - I do not think that Brighton Amex stadium is massive as a footie stadium, but must admit that I would rather see him a smaller venue, - The Dome is one of my favourites but now too small, - the venue that did surprise me this year (and it has a football image) was "Under the Bridge" at Stamford Bridge, - very good, quite large but somehow retains involvement and intimacy.

My YouTube channel with plenty of my Joe's videos dating from 2009 inc his first Hammersmith Odeon ones:

Re: Hello

It's not but it is bigger than the Brighton Centre. I'm just looking for a way of seeing BCC. I have this nasty feeling that JB at the Brighton Centre was my final gig.

Hew doesn't have a guitar festival either but then he didn't play in a heavy rock band when I first became a fan.

Re: Hello

Explain what you mean by that nasty feeling bit, please?  Oh yeah, and welcome.  I am just wondering if all your Joe Bonamassa "eggs" are in in one basket, so to speak, envisioning and attaching him to "heavy rock" mode only.  If that is the preconception one has, I do know, factually, one would be hopelessly hoping.  It ebbs and it flows within his repertoire, however.  I don't think that is in any way going away. big_smile
