Just kidding.
I know the previous thread was closed and everyone knows where they stand.
First of all, let me state that I am a Libertarian. The root of the word is liberty. A libertarian wishes to live in a world where he or she can make decisions freely. But with freedom of choice comes personal responsibility.
I do not wish to live in a country where I am told what I can or cannot eat or drink; where I can live; what car I can buy or how much money I can make. I want to make my own choices and live with the consequences.
Look, if you want to live in that kind of world, then go and line up for a lobotomy and get a chip implanted. The Borg collective is looking for a few good drones. Then get in line with your government issued ID for your daily Soylent Green rations.
It’s been said that Freedom isn’t free. I’m sad to say that last Friday so many innocent s paid the price.
To live in a country where some panel of “experts” makes my decisions for me because “it’s for the good of society” just goes against every notion of what freedom means to me.
If you don’t wish to own a firearm then that’s your choice. And when that trio of armed perps breaks into your home at 2 AM some night, then don’t expect the police to show up in 10 seconds. You will be wishing you had that 12 gauge pump loaded with 00 buckshot.
And as so many women have found out, court ordered restraints won't protect them from their pi$$ed off psycho ex-boyfriends.
Sorry, but I was raised in a free country and I want my grandchildren to have the same freedoms that I have enjoyed.
