Hey DUDE! Treasure is a 1963, as far as I can recall, that was a long time ago and a LOT of brain cells have said bye-bye since then. As you know, I have been Treasure's only owner, but I can't remember the exact year I got her. I do remember when she arrived at the store and that she sat there for a year or two before I got her.
As far as I know, only the early 63's did not have an emblem on the pick guard and they did not use laminates thru the neck and body. I have heard that the 76 'birds didn't use laminates either, but I have never owned one.
Quite a while ago I sent the serial # to Gibson and they said she is a 63.
I really think that the lack of laminates helps her get her tone.
I'm so happy that you two are having fun ! Please go easy on the "your Firebird", she is very happy right where she is!!! But, I have to admit that it is fun to be able to still call her "mine"!

Ouch! Full Sail taking some well deserved shrapnel! lol

This was my 3rd show in FL, and while I was back in the 21st row sad , it was another great performance, with great sound.

I finally took the time to read the full review (which was a bit painful).
This guy sounds like a newbie blogger,with limited writing skills, and not much gear knowledge (Octave pedal?).
The comments about Carmine being "cliched" are really telling. Carmine  is weaving these sick bass lines under Joe all night long!
These guys need to commandeer Mr. Big Jeff Jones for a quality review the next time Joe's in town...with ample compensation of course wink .

I am not a guitar player. I like music. I am impressed by talent and obvious dedication and hard work to improve upon that talent.
    That being said, I was at the show in Hollywood, FL at the Hardrock.  I had never seen Joe live before and just recently started listening to his music.  I was amazed that this mans fingers were not bleeding when he walked passed me as he was leaving the stage. He took his guitar case at the foot of the steps and walked out of the arena. It is amazing to watch Joe play live. I really enjoyed the show and I thought the music was great.

Joe, was the venue sold out?? The review mentioned seating capacity of 5100!! Hope you sold out!

Yeah, I was there. I don't think that it was that bad. It's true that gentleman lack right melodious tone and don't posses expertise in guitar playing. I have attended many concert at venues in Hollywood Hills.   This concert was much better than previous ones.
