Govt Mule did a cover here in Sept. Hard to top this one, though I'm sure Joe could do it some fine justice. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVClWc14k1k

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

You're welcome Laurielambe. Did you notice how excited Robert Randolph was getting as Joe started cooking? That was fun to see! I have a huge Joe bias too and have told so many people about him. I love listening to him play. It just makes my day over and over again.

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

I was looking at the 2013 lineup for Telluride laurielambe and it seems awesome. I see Robert Randolph is there again. Boy he and Joe together for a gig would be magic. Any suggestions for attending for someone who has never been to it?

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

I wish he would pay homage to the late Warren Zevon and play Werewolves of London. He's got great keyboards, he can make that guitar rock hard, it's in his vocal range, and everyone likes to howl like a wolf. Please Joe?

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

Just listened to Walter Trout-Days Like This.  I think this would be a great song for Joe to cover.  Or even better do it with Walter.  Both of them are so great on the guitar

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

I just heard a song on Sirius XM Bluesville that I think Joe could do so beautifully. It was B.B. King and Eric Clapton doing "The  Three O'Clock Blues". I don't know who wrote it but it is a beautiful slow blues song that fits Joe's style, I think. I love all Joe's cover songs so whatever he chooses I know I will love.

It is an old Lowell Fulson song.  A standard.  BB King covered it on an album as early as 1955.  Not obscure.

Anything from Justin Bieber.....

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

I want to hear Joe do Bob Seger's  " Her Strut " . Its a little off the mark from his normal stuff , but he would kill the guitar solo's. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKrNtWZUN2I

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

I am just hearing the Grateful Dead 68-10-12 at Avalon Ballroom with "Death Don´t Have No Mercy".....that would be really cool;-)

Re: Covers you would love to hear Joe do

You know, I've always been partial to the old Blood, Sweat, and Tears classic "I Love You More Than You'll Ever Know" sung here live by Al Kooper:

I've since learned that this song has been covered by Amy Winehouse,

and even more interestingly, by Gary Moore! Here's Gary's version ... a bit subdued in the beginning but with a fine guitar solo beginning at 5:38.

Regardless, I think Joe would totally rock this!
