Drew Brees has had a rough time the past 2 outings, SF sacked him 5 times as I recall and ATL picked him 5 times. His record setting string of 54 games with a touchdown came to a halt as well last night.

That Vegas stuff is all Greek to me. I can just about wrap my head around the over/under, but the other stuff!? Not for me.

Here's one of those little sidebar things that might influence which way you lean on a pick. Some hack writer for Sporting News/AOL wrote an article yesterday likening SF QB Colin Kaepernick to a prison parolee because of his tattoos. The writer, David Whitley, said the QB position is like being the CEO of a corporation and Kaps body art disrespects his position with his team. Kaps adoptive parents were very disturbed by the article and quick to point out that the bulk of his tats are bible scripture. Colin said he isn't bothered, "It's just someones opinion". This could be the kind of locker room bulletin board fodder that gets a player and his team mates(especially the ones with tattoos) a little more fired up than usual. We'll see on Sun.

Bumbling by the Saints just before halftime really cost me that game...that and the pick Brees threw in the 4th, lol.
I picked Minnesota because the rivalry between those two teams is almost as heated as GB/Chi.
Typically they are hard fought, close games. I expect AP to have a big game.

Hory clap! I'm a student of many things. IMO the only mortal sin is hypocrisy and an honest change of heart, or some kind of awakening, spiritually; can forgive that. So which one ? The so called writer? A QB is like a CEO? The QB for wearing it on his sleeve? Neither? Both? UM...oh horsesh**. gimme a headache...

Sorry! Point: QB=CEO. Football to me is a team sport. Nothing agonyst tatts, or even predjudicial interpretations. Sorry. Head football coach CEO of a subsidary of owner's enterprise(s), IMO. May get squeezed a Gulden pair of poops (hire archery and fan ba$e) instead of golden parachute from exit thus... That is where the buck and muck stops, IMO?

Well Trent was a tough mudder after all and Cleveland handled the Raiders. From what I gathered from ScoreCenter updates on my phone and post game highlights the game wasn't as close as the score indicated. One blown coverage late brought Oak within 3 points, but with 0:01 left on the clock there wasn't much Oak could do.

hey hey, the Jets finally have a QB that can win. Greg McElroy (Alabama) leads them to a touchdown in his first drive. I would like to see him get the nod this week vs JAX. He is smart, not very mobile, and doggone it people like him.

I was 'in training' all weekend so that I could stay up and watch this game live at 2:30 AM because I had such a good vibe about what would happen. In the end, the score was closer than anyone would have thought, but the Skin's win was totally deserved. If we only had a secondary that wasn't just plain awful, we'd be real contenders already. Not only can RG3 apparently do anything better than most QBs, he's also lucky, as witnessed by his miracle turning a fumble into the first TD!
Then there's Alfred Morris, who last night set a Skins rookie rushing record, while RG3 beat Cam Newton's NFL rookie rushing record from last year! Morris and RG3 together are a combined threat that will drive defenses completely crazy for many years to come. Shanahan sure knows how to spot 'em! The Skins are the #1 rushing offense in the NFL, while something like #31 at defending the pass. If the Shanahans continue to find the missing pieces to build a team around these two, I can see the Skins dominating their division for many years to come. Really! The future has never looked so bright for DC sports fans!

Take off those rosy glasses. The Giants shot themselves in the foot with stupid penalties multiple times which cost them the win. Skins are good, but not that good.
Got to agree with Rick, the G-men played a sloppy game. Regarding the "miracle" fumble TD, most of the crew I watched with expected the "holy roller" rule to overturn the TD if there was enough evidence that 3Bob had batted the ball forward. Pure luck more than a miracle, nobody knows which way a football will bounce.
