Topic: Tumor Paint

The following article and short film was forwarded to me by my best friend, Steve, who's son-in-law's brother died at the age of 16 from cancer. I know that a lot of our Bonafamily has had to deal with this insipid disease ( I lost my aunt to it about 15 years ago ) so I thought I would pass this on to all of you. I hope that this new technology/treatment can help someone out there.

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

Today it was announced that a short film about our team's work on Tumor Paint was selected as a finalist for the Sundance Film Festival.  I hope you will take 3 minutes to view the film - and also forward the link to your friends.  Over 18,000 people have viewed the short film this week and our goal is to have over 50,000 view the film by December 20th, when voting for Audience Favorites concludes.  Here is the link:

This short film documents the work that was done by our team at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and Seattle Children's Hospital.  If you are interested in following Tumor Paint from this point forward, I encourage you to check the Blaze Bioscience website (www.blazebioscience.com).  A talented team of drug developers are working diligently at Blaze to advance this technology to human clinical trials.

I am inspired daily by our patients, such as the child featured in this film.  I appreciate your vote on the film and sharing it with others to help us reach our goal of 50,000 votes, raising awareness of Tumor Paint as we move to clinical trials.

Best regards,

Jim

Why don't we eliminate all the warning labels and let things sort themselves out?

Guido,

I just shared it on my FB page. One of my dogs was just diagnosed with bladder cancer. Cancer sucks anyway you look at it.

Thanks for posting, Guido. I really hope this does well in clinical trials. There are a lot of great things happening in Seattle in the biotechnology field.

Re: Tumor Paint

That's encouraging news. Cancer research is advancing by leaps and bounds, but not beaten by any means yet. I wrapped up my post-op radiation treatments on Dec. 5th 2007 and in 6 days I hit my magic number. Please donate whenever you can to help others to reach what I call the "bonus round".
