Topic: Joe WOWS!!! Mark & Brian

Just finished listening to Joe and the band live in studio on the Mark & Brian show on KLOS in LA. I think it's safe to say the fan base has just expanded immensely. He opened with So Many Roads then Mark or Brian said let it be known that Joe is an 83 yr. old black man which got a laugh out of everybody. Bridge to Better Days was next to which they declared that was the best song ever played live in our studio!!! Joe talked about the new CD and Mark & Brian mentioned Joe being voted best blues guitarist by By Guitar Player or which ever one it was. Then came Another Kind of Love and by this time M&B are coming unglued, Mark says, no doubt Joe's sold his soul to the Devil and does he have 6 fingers??? M&B spoke with Rick, Carmine, & Bogie and Joe finished with Woke Up Dreamin' acoustic and was declared as of today the official band of the Mark & Brian Radio Program. The whole thing was awesome, these are the breaks it takes to hit the top where we all know Joe belongs. Three calls were taken by listeners who were blown away. Very well done Joe and Co.!!!!!!!

Yes!  Thanks Mark and Brian, and thanks Dawg for the details.  Now if I only could listen to an archive of the show my joy would be complete.

Re: Joe WOWS!!! Mark & Brian

That's good news J Dawg!  It is really great to see Joe getting more and more exposure as time goes by.  Thanks for the update...

Music is good for the Soul...

Re: Joe WOWS!!! Mark & Brian

nice job - i heard it as well - i drove all around Livermore so my radio station would stay clear - cuts out when i get through back roads enroute to pleasanton.  i tried to call fandango - but he was at work and was probably out of range....i feel i was a part of rock n roll history!!!!

i listen to M&B everyday and when i was driving to work and heard them say Joe Bonamassa was going to be in the studio today - i nearly choked!!! He's going to be on the radio!!!! it's all over now - he's going to be huge!!!

Their show is syndicated, but I don't know how many markets they're in. It was like going nationwide. This is by far the best exposure Joe's had to date aside from everything BB's done for him.

Was this part pf XM? The logo was showing on my R upper corner. It just couldn't stream..very frustrating. It would be nice to see how sales get a bump! I did get to hear them say he was the best...I guess we have to share now......

I doubt that they're part of XM as their show is Syndicated and sold to any station that wants to carry them. For instance Shred and I pick them up out of Sacramento on KSEG The Eagle live outta LA 6-10 am M-F. Syndication and XM are direct competitors.

Re: Joe WOWS!!! Mark & Brian

Great report DAWG, those meds must be good! you got that report right on the money. Remember what Joe said, he's usually in the rock section between Michael Bolton and Jon Bon Jovi, which is probably good seeing how small the "blues' section is in a lot of music stores. I remember the one guy that called in, I think his name was Bill. He was at the "coach house" in L.A. That place was PACKED, not a seat empty, maybe a 1000 people. Joe was feeling it, hell why not, sold out. Anyways, Joe is tearing it up, and the lady in front of me is the only african american in the place, he leans down as he's playing, and ask her how she's doing. She looks at me and smiles, says "I've been following him since he toured with B.B"., sure made her night. He ends the show and throws his sunglasses in the audience. Well I believe there are going to be alot of sunglasses being thrown from now on, I believe we just heard rocknroll history today!!

Congrats Joe

Re: Joe WOWS!!! Mark & Brian

Starting to sound like the KLOS I used to listen to years ago!!!  Do they still have those bumper stickers that you get at concerts they promote?!  They stopped them, maybe they'll come back.  Anyone know what I'm talking about (70's-80's)?
