Topic: The Temperance Movement

Was browsing Other Artists/London gig guide the other day and saw Rus Scagell's post about this band he had just seen in London, so (as you do) I took a look and WOW!  Immediately ordered their EP which I've played a few times now and am loving their sound.  This is now my new favourite band, think rocky blues and some great melodies.  I see they're playing the O2 in London soon, you lucky people.  Hope they do a UK tour and come down this way.

Enjoy!

Re: The Temperance Movement

Been a fan for a while now. We need a lot more music like this. Great sound.

Re: The Temperance Movement

Love it.I agree with Dave

Your rock candy baby
Your hard sweet and sticky

Re: The Temperance Movement

They are actually supporting Little Angels at the Shepherds Bush Empire on 16 December. If I remember rightly half the band is based in London and the other half in Glasgow.

Re: The Temperance Movement

I thought I'd buy their signed EP. I had heard it all on youtube, plus live performances...but I thought these guys could do with all the support they deserve. Looking to be already an amazing live band.

The EP's great and has been my driving music of choice for the past couple of weeks.  I got a very nice thank you by e-mail as well, plus they asked for suggestions for venues.  When I think of the X Factor and such c**p that passes for good music nowadays, thank goodness there are still some fresh and talented bands around.

Re: The Temperance Movement

I saw their EP on Bandcamp today while having a look around and remembered the band from this topic. I've downloaded it now, excellent stuff!

Re: The Temperance Movement

I hear the full debut album is out in March. Very cool.

Re: The Temperance Movement

I received a copy of their EP, signed by the band, from a very good friend who saw them open for Skin.   The buzz about these lads is well deserved and I detect a little southern rock going on.  Two thumbs up fer sure!

Would be great if they could get the support slot for Rival Sons and/or Black Crowes.

Now I'm grinning like a Cheshire Cat.  Just checked Mr Kyps website and they're playing there on 27 April.  If things go to plan there should be a new album out by then so some juicy new toons to listen to.

Oh, suppose I should mention there's a support band too ..... isn't that right Rus?

What a rocking night that's going to be.

Very happy bunny.
