Topic: ncaa

Yeah!  Lower freaking caps for low lifes so freaking corrupt it makes me vomit.  I've attached an article that underscores this in the comments.  Headline:  Shabbazz Muhammond reinstated after three games for accepting 2K for illegal trips.  Two IU freshmen suspended nine games and $1500 for something that happened before they were born ( sponsor's ex-wife wrote nine checks over nine years for IU bumper stickers).  The sponsor is involved with A-Hope which is a charitable foundation that helps third world athletes able to play in the US.  The guy went to the ncaa asking if there were any issues with any of the kids and they blew him off.  He sent his banking records from the last four years and two years later after IU's compliance dept found and reported this small infraction they gave the kids the max penalty.  The time's come to either regulate these assholes or replace them.  Remember to read the responses, this is a very big deal in the Midwest.

Re: ncaa

it is outrageous that they slap one on the wrist, and then next time they insert the dagger. It isn't right, and they are starting to resemble the Bonano family. This is a great example of total inconsistency of punishment. They just don't have a clue from one case to the next. You know the Golden Rule right, whoever has the gold makes the rules. As long as they are allowed to be out of control it looks like it will continue. It's a monopoly and about time a school took them to the high courts.

As corn through a goose, so are the days of our lives

Re: ncaa

Amazing that a UCLA cheater, openly and knowingly accepts illegal cash, doesn't report, and gets his suspension revoked after three games yet the ncaa denies an appeal to two IU players for nothing that happened in their lifetime.  Read this latest article/responses and run to the bathroom.  Won't have to use your finger.
Indiana University is currently the number 1 ranked team in the country and has been forced to play their first nine games with one big man.  We play North Carolina next week and will be shorthanded again.  Never mind that the Heels were caught redhanded handing out A's to athletes who never attended class.  ncaa didn't even give them a slap on the wrist.
Again, please read the comments to this unbelieveable hypocrisy.
