Well, one of my surviving younger first cousins is a Rams fan since his  youth, which of course dates to Los Angeles Rams, even though he has zero connection to the city until he joined the Air Force and ended up in southern California where I happened to be stationed in also elsewhere.  Great times together, especially with Derek.  Derek interceded today and made our teams play to a tie.   I said way back, asked, am I the only one who thinks the Rams are underrated?  Amendola is a heck of a football player!  The entire team is halfway, I won't go any further, but they are, as a team, halfway decent.

49ers go out of tune in some contests in my opinion...it becomes like trying to tune a cartoon piano that just fell out of a skyscraper to the sidewalk...

Chokes!

Don't feel too bad Cat. Chargers did the same old same old again. It seems like we just have to ride out this situation until Mr. Spanos finally gets fed up and cleans house. May or may not happen as he decides whether the factions local can be coerced by threat of moves or whatever since he wants a new venue, which isn't happening here....

Re: The NFL - National Football League

the real tragedy for the Raiders this week was the loss of Terrell Williams' 4 year old son. He is the D line coach. Tyson passed away this last Friday after becoming ill in the last month. They did not elaborate on the illness. God, it's the last unthinkable thing you want to face as a parent, much worse than if they are just newborn infants. RIP little Tyson.

Oh my.  Very sad.  Hard to imagine trying to play a game for entertainment with saddening news within the team.  My heart goes out to the Williams family and all Raiders.

I absolutely LOVE that avatar, Rocket. If I wasn't an one avatar kind of guy, I'd steal it. cool

I don't feel too badly about 9-4-1 in view of the number of upsets last week. (I refuse to count the tie as a loss.) Here we go with week 11 (how time flies, eh?)

MIA @ BUF - I pick the Fins, they lose, I don't pick 'em, they win - tie unlikely
ARI @ ATL - Falcons get back on track
TB @ CAR - Buccs better?
CLE @ DAL - A bold pick for two in a row!
GB @ DET - Pack should be too strong
JAC @ HOU - Worst vs best?
CIN @ KC - A real coin toss imo, but KC couldn't cash in on their first lead of the season, so...
NYJ @ STL - I've given up on the enigma Jets
PHI @ WAS - Who knows what Foles can do, but I won't back against RG3, even though the rest suck big time
NO @ OAK - That win over ATL will have given them a huge boost
SD @ DEN - Peyton = no contest
IND @ NE - Already good enough to win in Foxboro? I don't believe it
BAL @ Pit - Would have picked the Ravens even without all the PIT injuries
CHI @ SF - Da Bears let me down big time last week

RIP Iron Man

really, this Thursday thing just keeps coming around faster and faster

BUF
ATL
CAR
DAL
GB
HOU
STL
WAS
NO
DEN
NE
BAL
SF

with all the QB injuries it's tough not to have the same list, only 1 different from Hammers

Can't run the table, no pick between Rams and Jets.

Chargers may have hope, Peyton Manning looks (bags under eyes) like he was up late with too much Busch... tongue
...closer inspection Flipper Rivers looked like he needed to suck some oxygen himself, but he just sucked...mob mentality locally for at least a week here...heh heh... roll

This must have been a real 'easy' week! All three OTs went my way and I'm 12-1 (thank you, Jets) going into tonight.

nice week hammer, also my best yet at 11-2 going to MNF. Carolina imploded again, I should have know better. We both lost on STL, but if I had it to pick again would still take them. Picking them with the lines was different story. sad

If the 49ers lose, you will tie with Bill S at 2 losses, since he is the only one picking Der Bares!
wink

Should be a tad dicey from here out.  Some of those teams out of contention either laying down or hell bent on winning (soundly or not) against a near unanimously preconceived notion that they have already lost the game unplayed.  Teams already locked in the playoffs playing who cares football until then should mire things slighty, too.
