Topic: JJ Grey and Mofro - Manchester
After treking down to Bristol to see JJ Grey and Mofro perform at the tunnels last Thusday we popped over to Manchester on Saturday to see them at Manchesters Academy 3, where we first saw Joe all those years ago. I have to say it, we thought Thursday's show was untouchable but Saturday's show in Manchester was simply off the scale. The crowd were on form singing along with the songs which blew JJ away! The party atmosphere was electric. JJ's heartfelt encore "Shining Down" brought tears to JJ's eyes, forcing him off stage, and a few tears in the audience too. This band are going to be huge! Take every opportunity to see them in the intimate venues, before they take the same road as Joe. Have seen them four times now and can't wait for the next! It was particularly nice to hook up with Jim Jagau who is over here from the Iowa, following the band's UK tour. What a nice guy. He is also a fan of Joe's.
