Topic: My Open Mic Rig (2 videos)

Hey guys, I put together a small Open Mic Rig thats suitable for pretty much any application. I primarily use it for home practice otherwise. I can take it in car to a jam, practice, open mic, even a gig. Its compact, loud and looks pretty bada$$ if I may say so.

The rack is pretty heavy so usually I can enlist someone to carry the amp and guitar while I carry rack unit in only having to make 1 trip to the Jeep. I have a 1 unit rack drawer to house the wireless pack, a microphone and a spare 20ft guitar cable should wireless go down. Everything is plugged into the Monster Power Conditioner so I just plug IT into the nearest outlet and thats it. The whole thing is up and running in less than 2 minutes, if that..

Great rig!!  Nice playing too - very EJ-esque.

Which Fuel Tank is that you've got powering the board?  Are they all 9V outputs or do you have some 12V?

Thanks Devan, its the t rex fuel tank jr. 5 isolated outputs, all of which are 9volts. I have a y cable using 2 of them to power my pigtronix compressor at 18volts.

Thanks Nic, the sound is a bit clearer in person. I don't play with a tone nearly as clean as John Mayer but using the strat makes you want to. -S
