Topic: I miss Stu Craig

I'm very happy to see that Joe has given a "shout out" to his #1 fan Stu Craig in the liner notes of Sloe Gin. Joe fans owe Stu lots, even if you don't realize it...just visit the fan web site or get your newsletter. I hope he returns to the forum so he can feel the love and respect that sooo many here have for him....I raise my glass of sloe gin to Stu..........Cathy

Re: I miss Stu Craig

Damn straight! But I don't blame him for not posting. This forum used to be a fun place. Not anymore with the clique that goes on here.

Re: I miss Stu Craig

I was happy to see that liner note myself! I feel nothing but the love and respect for Stu.  Just from my own personal experience, behind the scenes when I became addicted to Joe...I wrote to Stu endlessly with ideas...the man has the patience of a saint.  Mulitply that by many fans, plus all the other good deeds done; the fan web site, the newsletter, Stu has dedicated endless hours of his time, etc. etc. for the love of Joe!  Raising my glass of sloe gin to Stu also!!

Re: I miss Stu Craig

I guess I'm a simpleton. I'm unaware of any issues, cliques, etc., especially any that relate in any way to Stu.
Stu always struck me as the "rock" of this forum since I first started posting. Always very polite and respectful of others, from my viewpoint.

Re: I miss Stu Craig

I was glad to see that shout out to Stu also. He always put an incedible amout of effort into his backing of Joe and the band. Plus he is a hell of a cool dude and knowledgeable music fan that is a pleasure to trade stories with.  Rock on Stu !!!!!    Larry G

Re: I miss Stu Craig

No good comes from rehashing the past. The best will come when we occasionally stop and remember why we are here. Music brought us here. Amazingly thru different channels..blues, rock, country...we all found Joe. When we went looking we found this "world" thanks to the work of #1 fan Stu. We stay here because of each other and all that we share here. We also have spats and how they go down and get resolved are issues we can all work to improve. This forum will fail when people stop feeling the freedom to voice their opinions. I prefer to have all voices heard! So, I think I'm going to Cannonize Stu, he did perform miracles!  Cheers to Saint Stu, Patron Saint of the Forum...Peace, Cathy                                      ( I had guardian but patron is more approp.)

Re: I miss Stu Craig

Stu has always been a big help when I had any questions and in particular in regards to the Seattle venues and such. It's nice to see the recognition in the liner notes as well as for Melissa who's doing a great job with the Street Team. We all know her as Melissa Durse of course.

Re: I miss Stu Craig

Wow...how embarrassing. Thanks for all the kind words.

I recently returned from a week in Vegas. A little lighter in the wallet, but refreshed and renewed. I hesitated to post here, as it will bring this thread back to the 1st page...but wanted to pass along my very sincere thanks for all the support (and emails off board).

I remain comitted to the cause. I'm excited to see the Billboard #'s tomorrow. The promotion doesn't stop now though; we should be just getting started. The longer Sloe Gin performs well on the charts, the more exposure we gain - and the more new fans come onboard.

Keep requesting Sloe Gin on the radio (broadcast and satellite). Share the music with your family and freinds, and ask them to do the same. Word-of-mouth remains a powerful promotional tool. I'll be contacting Nick to get a couple new links for Sloe Gin that we can add to the "Samples" page too - so we can continure to make use of the email signature file links.

Thanks again
Stu

Re: I miss Stu Craig

Ok, my turn to be embarrassed...I thought it was you sending out the pass around links of songs, is it? If one wants to go back to an old e-mail and send that particular song (like jellyroll) you can't...one can only send the current song of the most recent e-mail...right?  Where can I retrieve other songs sent in that e-mail format?  I hope I'm explaining my techie inability correctly and as always, thanks for your help.

Glad you had a nice time in Vegas Stu and its great that good news is all around you and your family.  Life Is Good!
