Re: Bobblehead No. 1?

OK so can I ask a question. I bought one last night at the Dallas show but is there a way to tell a #1 vs #2 vs #3. Are there different designs or is it like the Epiphone guitar where they just do another run. The one I bought has Joe with the Flying V guitar and says limited edition with a sticker saying 1000 pieces. Just curious because if there is different ones then I guess I will have a new mission. Thanks!!!

From J&R customer service, 9/4, when inquiring about #1 and #3:

We are aiming to release 1 or both of them at the end of October.

Well, so much for"limited edition collectible."

Re: Bobblehead No. 1?

Selling more than 1000 is TOTALLY WRONG
What does LIMITED EDITION mean ???

Re: Bobblehead No. 1?

Still can't quite wrap my head around why this kind of thing always causes such a ruckus.  I love my bobbleheads, lithos, etc., not because I consider them investments, but because I enjoy them as what they are.  Why would I rather have it so that only 999 other Joe fans could enjoy what I enjoy so much?  That seems a bit childish to me.  I'd be thrilled to learn that 9,999 fellow Joe fans had one, or 99,999, or 999,999...

And for the folks who DO consider them investments, y'all are watching too much Pawn Stars.  Brothers and sisters, you ain't gonna live long enough to flip a $40 doll into any kind of real money...   big_smile

I don't care how many people got the first bobblehead and I'm glad you were able to git one. I did not purchase mine to be an investment but i wish the people who do the advertising would not use words like limited edition and other phrases if they have plans to sell more in the future.

My point exactly - don't call something "limited edition" if it's not - a big deal was made out of that in the advertising when it came out.  I didn't buy it as an investment but because I like it.  At least change the markings on the box to something like "Bobblehead #1 - 2nd edition."

Re: Bobblehead No. 1?

Coach you just don't get it and I do not think you ever will which is ok. Please tell me what LIMITED EDITION means .I do not ever buy and sell to make money off JB . The problem is when I buy 5 of these and give them away as LIMITED EDITION gifts and the people who receive them say WOW I have a LIMITED EDITION JB BOBBLE HEAD it kind of lets the air out of the BOBBLE when the store starts selling them again. Don't get me wrong I hope the store sells a Million of these and all of the 2nd and 3rd and so on and so on smile
