Topic: identify the guitar. Blues Deluxe @ RAH

I wonder if someone knows witch guitar Joe use on Blues Deluxe at Royal Albert Hall.
I have been searching the forum but I'm not able to find anything.
Maybe i can find something in the blu-ray disk cover, but i don't have it available at the moment.
The guitar looks really good, and it doesn't look vintage. Maybe mismatched volume/tone knobs, or is it the light?

The reason i ask is because I'm going to buy my first Gibson Les Paul soon, and this is the closest I've seen to the perfect guitar big_smile

Is that not the Gary Rossington signature model?

Re: identify the guitar. Blues Deluxe @ RAH

Definitely not the Gary Rossington

Edit: looking at the Blu-Ray booklet it is a 2007 R9 (nicknamed Gary Moore)

Further edit:  Hey Joe, now that you have no use for that guitar I would ask that you send it to me!  An R9 is probably the closest I am ever going to get to guitar heaven.  But don't tell my "budget line" children.  I'll always love them too.  smile

Gibson 60th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Reissue, Gibson LP Standard Faded CSB, Gibson Gary Moore LP Standard, Epi Joe Bonamassa GT LP, Epi Zakk Wylde LP, Dean Michael Schenker Flying V, Jackson Randy Rhoads V, ESP/LTD George Lynch Kamikaze, EVH Striped Series R/B/W, Fender/Squire John 5 Telecaster, Fender Joe Strummer Relic Telecaster

Lol, I Hear Ya.... Cant Even Afford A Les Paul. Maybe When I Meet With Joe in KC 11/2 (for The First Time After 6 Years....so pumped) he will trade me a LP for my Jackson Dinky!!!! Only thing i could afford and not my style at all.

Either way be the best 32nd Birthday ever in KC and STL next weekend!

Cheers!

Jason

Guess if I had watched the whole video I would have seen the upside down neck pickup.  Good call!

+1 on being almost certain it's an R9 '59 custom shop

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

Re: identify the guitar. Blues Deluxe @ RAH

No idea on the guitar, but the level of playing in that video intimidates me greatly, the level of control and touch is of such an advanced level, fantastically motivating
