Re: BCC/ Joe B/Musicradar Interview

Something I'll point out is that I think all four have benefited from making the 3 CDs because each of their fan bases were exposed to the other 3 artists.  I wasn't aware of Glenn before Joe and now I am.  I'm sure there are fans of Glenn who had the same experience.  As long as the controversy ends and no bad blood ensues, each member of the band has new fans from the experience.  Good music was made, great exposure was gotten even in the media like That Metal Show, and all four go on to tour solo or in other projects with a wider base of fans that have them on their radar.  What's not to like?

Re: BCC/ Joe B/Musicradar Interview

Naturally Joe will want a end to these discussions. However I expect within the media all reviews, features and news stories of BCC in the coming weeks are likely to make mention of this. Probably the worst possible timing from a PR point of view.

Yes I too appreciate Glenn now more than back in the DP days. How cool would it be to hear BCC or Joe on mainstream radio!

That would be the Coolest cool  I think it would fit write in with today's music.  I will try both the classic rock station and the new rock station again.

Unfortunately here, they have their music already programmed and don't want to here something not by their Program Director.  But on the new rock station, they have a Like/Dislike you can text for each song they play.

What about in Chicago, Gary?  Do you hear it on your radio stations?

Chicago. Is a big market corporate elephant. The only station that might play BCC or JOe is WxRT.Always known to play everything and anything.I know there has been efforts made to get Joe played there.I dont know if that ever happened because I gave up onmusic radio here a while ago.I rarely listen to music radio anymore as its the same ol same ol on the rock stations.Good thing I have a large cd collection!
I would listen to the radio just to hear Joe or if I knew he was being played solo  BCC or with anyone else.

This months Guitar mag, an amp special, reviews Afterglow and it's main point is Joe's superb playing and rock chord play. It singles him out in it's praise. big_smile

Come on the Blades (sorry Idolbone just had to borrow your line)

Well deserved praise too!

I said this once before and it got deleted, but they're friends, they'll make up eventually. May not be anything left to BCC, but they'll friends. We all get into it with our pals, just that most of us aren't 2 of the best musicians on the planet. Just remember to hug your brother, you never know when he'll be gone.

Words to live by Deezer!

Much wisdom there.

Hopefully it ALL works out well for all of them in every way.

Re: BCC/ Joe B/Musicradar Interview

I've always wondered what was so appealing about muck, that people just have to rake it, and rake it, and rake it.

I refuse to sniff any of the glue that's been rendered from this dead horse.

Though I look forward to a chance to hear all of Afterglow.

I enjoyed reading the interviews posted early on in this thread.  Most of the rest, I just skimmed.

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.
