The Giants still scare me too Curby! I am not counting anything out and hope we can keep up the offense tonight. I just got a call that my Dad is giving me and the lady the tickets to tonights game.... so I am really hoping to see a clinch! GO CARDS!

How could I be pissed off right now??? As we say in the Bay though....Don't call it FRISCO!!! We'll see those redbirds in SAN....FRAN....CISCO!!! Curby, maybe you put your team in the Tombstone Shadow. I'll let these guys make my comment for me.

It's all good my brother from another mother .....the series is coming back to the Bay Area...whatta ya say we play 7 games and decide it in the 9th inning?

Local boy does good! Zito came up with a game from nowhere and the collective sigh of relief in the Bay Area caused a strong breeze way down the coast. As our beloved Jerry Coleman says, "Oh doctor. You can hang a star on that one, baby."

What comes next will be classic. I'd say game six will be a must win for the Cards. If it goes seven games then big advantage Giants with Cain on the mound. Carpenter and Lohse will be formidable oponnets though.

Not to change the b-ball banter here but I friggin' dig that song BIG TIME!!!.... Saw them with Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings about a year ago at the Warfield.
Nothing like a car commercial to turn you on to a song.

It is Frisco, San Fran, San Francisco, The City By the Bay, The City Bi & Gay, The City...etc. and it is ok to call it that. At least I seem to be able to get away with "Frisco" in conversations with friendly's there....maybe I hang around snooty tykes though?! :/ Songs immortalize it as "Frisco", too! Titles, choruses, lyrical lines... Now, in baseball circles, it is only proper to only use "Francisco" in it's entirety referring to the San Francisco Giants.
Go, go, San Francisco Giants! [Almost made it A's...next year(?)!] Zito is the man, fantastic performance start to removal!!! Even with an unbelievably ambiguous strike zone......

Sorry, But from a real San Franciscan, yes, I was born there. It maybe frisco weather, but the proper is San Francisco. I have a deep connection to my home. It's one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
And the Giants play in such a beautiful stadium that is so representative of the City.
But Candlestick holds a lot of fond memories, the wind, Blow me over.
And that is why "Lights" by Journey will always be my favorite song by them. Nothing like hearing it going across the Golden Gate Bridge. It always takes me home.

Yeah Rocket, congrat's to the A's and looking forward to next year. Both have fun crowds.
Ambiguous strike zone has been driving me crazy. Especially in the Tigers - Yankees series. Is TBS's pitch tracks that unbelievably bad on all sides of the plate? Up, down, inside and out? It been so bad I wish they would simply stop showing it. And time and time again it has shown 2 balls mapped in the same spot with different calls. I've never seen anything like it.
