Re: BCC/ Joe B/Musicradar Interview

I'm trying to understand the rules.  Yesterday, I posted this link in the General Topics and the thread was whacked.  It's ok now that it is in Other Artists (per Joe's "BCC-lives-in-other-artists" request)?  What's the dealio?

Thanks,
Jim

The deal is this is Joe's forum. There isn't any other artist that I know of that uses a fan forum as much as Joe. He knows what is going on here and provides this forum for his fans to keep in touch. The policy on BCC communicated to me from Joe himself is that he didn't want the drama of BCC played out here. It was OK to talk about the album, the music especially since it was coming out soon. Still he didn't want this place tainted by the drama.

I was caught by surprise by the Music Radar interview. Although I knew much of the story I really didn't know Joe had given an interview. So I was given the heads up that the thread was going that might get out of hand. Since I couldn't watch the whole thing play out I just nuked it. My call. It was posted again and I didn't have time to read the thing and make a decision till later I nuked that too.

I asked Joe his opinion on how to handle it since I knew this was going to keep getting posted and would be hard to nuke them all. I thought about linking it in Joe's Interviews but there would be a discussion there that would take away from the interview links there. So he decided to let if ride if it was in Other Artists. He didn't want the drama in General Topics which I thought was a brilliant way to handle the whole thing. If somebody wants to go catch up on BCC it will reside in Other Artists.

Joe has always used this forum and he comes here often and posts frequently. If he ever gets to the point it does more harm than good the whole thing might disappear. Nobody wants that. So I think we should all honor his wishes. There isn't anybody more fan friendly than Joe.

Re: BCC/ Joe B/Musicradar Interview

This interview has had some discussion over on facebook So far near 100% behind Joe.
My opinion? I'd say BCC is near 100% out of the picture for a tour. A mini? A la the Euro,  maybe, but there will have to be some fence mending. I love the music, but I love Joe solo more.

I don't like soap operas - real or made for TV - so I couldn't care less.

Re: BCC/ Joe B/Musicradar Interview

I was suprised that Joe said he liked the first BCC best too.Although I never saw a huge gap myself between 1 and 2.Seemed like everybody jumped on the 2 band wagon and left poor little ol one out in the "Cold"(pun intended).
Just goes to show you everyone has a different opinion.

Re: BCC/ Joe B/Musicradar Interview

I've never liked BCC cause Glenn is not my cup of tea.  The next great step in Joe's career will be to find a singer that perfectly compliments his enormous talent.  Beth Hart was a good first step, but there's a supergroup in the making with an even better choice.

OK Curby, so spill!  Who do you have in mind?

Re: BCC/ Joe B/Musicradar Interview

I for one appreciate reading this stuff here.  I think we can keep it civil.  I appreciate knowing where each of the guys in the band is coming from.  I love the passion!  I honestly do.  I also gotta say Glenn is fighting for the band, but obviously not going about things the right way.  It's pretty refreshing for Joe to let loose once in a while, but still keep it pretty darn civil.  He is such a class act.  Just amazing.
