Something is wrong with Rivers. That is the only explanation. Might have been the half time pep talk though. Ya, you guys can kick back now.  lol

Re: The NFL - National Football League

I'll be back with this week's picks tomorrow, just a couple of quick things now -

RG3 was awesome again! - longest QB run for a TD in Skin's history!

Peyton still has 'it'!

How incredibly unlucky for the Ravens, and what a tragedy for Ray Lewis if this turns out to be how his career ends. How can one team lose four defensive players as crucial as Suggs, Webb, Reed and Lewis???

Another great week for picks, I think I went 6-8 with all those huge surprises roll

Nothing personal Rick or Rocket, but the Chargers are now on my **** list - why? Rivers was the only QB I saw this weekend wearing NO pink at all, and most of the SD offense wore no pink either, though the defense showed its share.

Did y'all know that this wearing pink was started by Dan Snyder's wife? I didn't till last weekend.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Well, nice job by my Raiders.  Even though they didn't win, they looked very prepared and almost pulled off an upset.  The bye week helped. Maybe they need to play every 2 weeks?  Just taking one game at a time.  Still have a number of things to work on, but it showed that they did.

Still can't break RunDMC out, his best run was tackling the guy who recovered the fumble. He is a smart football player.  I give it up to Carson this year for being very methodical and a good leader for this team.  He has been a bright spot.  If he had a running game, that would really help him further.
I look at this as a rebuilding year and hopefully they can draft a tackle or who ever they see fit.
Whole new scheme will take time.  They have to help RunDMC as much as possible as these are his best years and a running back doesn't have a lot a years.  Thats my biggest concern.

looking forward to Thursday night football.
Seahawks and 49ers, should hopefully be an exciting game. 2 great defenses.

Look at any picture of Rivers, no pink, zilch. I was shocked.

SEA at SF - Could easily go either way, but I expect the Niners to make up for last week with a vengeance.
TEN at BUF - BUF, I guess...just.
CLE at IND - Lots of last week's facial egg to be removed by Luck & Co.
GB at STL - Lock of the week, indeed. Watch for the home win shut out. tongue
ARI at MIN - Vikings also need to atone..
WSH at NYG - Giants should be nailed on with Eli vs. Skins secondary, but I believe in miracles!
NO at TB - Nomally this would be a lock, but this season....?
DAL at CAR - Pressure on Cowboys will be immense...can they cope?
BAL at HOU - Despite decimated BAL defense, I'll go for my other team.
JAC at OAK - Meh, home advantage
NYJ at NE - NE should murder the Jets after last week.
PIT at CIN - Could totally go either way, I'll punt on home advantage.
DET at CHI - ? Despite somewhat of a Lions resurgence, I think da Bears are too good.

The Giants are that damn good, but never, ever forget that Eli Manning can have the kind of day Alex Smith and Philip Rivers had last week any given game day.  If he gets rattled at all...all bets are off, his confidence doesn't necessarily fade but his skills do, significantly.  Far more than Peyton, he really fears a sack and he is not as tough or able to shake off hurt as well.  Defense is shaky in my opinion, despite how easily they smoked our 49ers out.  Both teams have a tendency to beat themselves.

Seahawks at 49ers -OT
Titans at Bills- Clear weather prediction, reverse with rain or snow or sub 50F temp
Browns -Luck gets runned out of his own town
Packers at Rams -I'm crazy enuff to think the Rams are underrated
Cardinals at Vikings -Injuries too plentiful for Arizona
Redskins at NY Giants -Eli has one of the above mentioned meltdowns
Saints at Buccaneers -OT
Cowboys at Panthers -Stampede predicted
Ravens at Texans -Ain't happening George
Jaguars at Raiders -Two mediocre teams, Raiders flag football style outdated
NY Jets at Patriots -Quick NE lead will win, Jets hold 1st half, this one reverses
Steelers at Bengals -Tough game, very late rally to win

Lions at Bears -Teeth vs. Claws, claws need sharpening, teeth sink into meat.

Let's see how I can do this week.... here are my picks for the week:

Minnesota
Pittsburgh
Detroit
Chicago
Atlanta
New England
Tennessee
San Diego
NY Jets
Green Bay
Kansas City
NY Giants
New Orleans
Arizona - by 3 in OT

Re: The NFL - National Football League

I reserve the right to change my mind on one or two after some more thought. wink

Tampa Bay @ Minnesota – Vikings at home should be too good

Miami @ New York Jets – I'd like to see the Fins take this
San Diego @ Cleveland – Have to go for the Bolts, though without confidence
Indianapolis @ Tennessee – Titans to edge it
New England @ St. Louis – Patriots should be one of this week's locks...I say, 'should be'
Jacksonville @ Green Bay – Absolute lock of the week
Atlanta @ Philadelphia – I particularly look forward to more Vick turnovers and an Eagles loss
Washington @ Pittsburgh – Steelers are certainly favorites, but we were close to that miracle last week....
Seattle @ Detroit – Seattle, though not with complete confidence.
Carolina @ Chicago – Da Bears look too good
Oakland @ Kansas City – Two crap teams, I'll go for home advantage, no other reason
New York Giants @ Dallas – Could be a thriller, Giants for me

New Orleans @ Denver – Will be an aerial thriller with Brees vs Manning, first team to 50 wins - Denver's less bad defense to edge it?

San Francisco @ Arizona – I believe that the Cardinals have peaked and go for SF

Didn't get mine in due to busy, but good luck to you that have teams in the mix. Chargers are looking not so hot vs. the Browns. They've never been mudders.
Rick
edit: After that pitiful performance, Norv better stay away from town. I see a gathering of folk with pitchforks, feathers and tar waiting. That may have sealed the deal. Disgusting! They looked worse than the Browns! yikes
