You probably have to be a FB member to see this open page - https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid … tif_t=like

Otis was busy signing and Larry, the drummer, wasn't around at that moment, so I grabbed the other three, who were most happy to oblige. I have a wonderful coinkydink story to share, but that will have to wait till tomorrow and will appear in Other in a Michael Burks context.

Re: Huge Favor from all my Bona-friends

Thank you so much everyone,  It has been an amazing story, so many folks giving love to this young boy.   Yesterday evening he was up to 169000 likes and so many celebreties have given him thumbs up.  Kid Rock sent him a fender guitar and someone else that I can't remember gave him an acoustic guitar.

Hundreds of folks actually went to his house yesterday and surround it with prayers.

Thanks again.  Just shows what we can do with our love in this world

Got up this morning and there's a front page story in my paper about Lane and his courageous battle with cancer.  At Vanderbilt Medical Center this week his doctors came to his room and Lane asked "You can't fix this, can you?".  The doctor said "No.  I can't."  Lane said, "That's OK."  Later he asked to go home and will soon be under hospice care.  This little boy's bravery gives me pause to my own life challenges.
His story has gone viral for just reasons.  There will be a benefit for him tomorrow in Robards, Kentucky that I will attend.  That boy gives me hope and strength.
Thanks Mary for bringing his story to this forum.

Thanks Curby.  did you go to the benefit?  You are right folks all over the world are coming together.

Hi Mary,

Yes I did.  There was a large turnout and the Rockhouse Pizza owners should be commended for their generosity.   My wife was too ill to go so I went with a friend.  It was a beautiful day yesterday.  I expect Lane will move to the head of the line at the Pearly Gates as he's already an angel.

I didn't realize Robards was so close.  Maybe 40 minutes away and I have to add Rockhouse's food was delicious.  Might have to go back.

Prayers for your wife Shredit.   Lane's page is up to 196000 likes.  Would be nice if we could help him get to 200000 today.

Prayers are all we have some days.  Thanks everyone who is supporting anyone with this dreaded monster cancer.

Re: Huge Favor from all my Bona-friends

To all my Bonafriends.   Thanks so much for supporting Lane Goodwin.  If you have time, go to Prayers for Lane Goodwin and like his facebook page or post a "Thumbs up photo"
Lane is from a small town near my home.   He is just turned 13  with a rare cancer that has now attacked his brain. He is currently at 196000 likes and it would be great to help him get to 200000.  Many folks have to face the horrible monster called cancer.  It is so much harder to accept when it is a young boy.  Lane has rallied our nation and the world to the ability love can play in such a diagnosis.

Thanks again:)

Re: Huge Favor from all my Bona-friends

Thumbs Up for Lane, Done! What a fighter and truly lovely spirit and smile. My girlfriend's nephew, who is 10, is also battling his 3rd treatment with Brain Cancer. I know how tough it can be but support and smiles are the best medicine sometimes! Will be praying for Lane and hope for nothing but the best!

Sorry to hear about her nephew.  Cancer is a monster.  Thanks for helping Lane and his quest to spread the word

Re: Huge Favor from all my Bona-friends

Thank you so much for sharing Lane's story here. I 1st heard his story from a family member that lives in Western Kentucky. It really warms my heart when I visit the page I not only see my local friends on the page but my Bonbuds from all over the world there too smile You guys are the best. There was an interview on our local news last night that I was going to share here but I 've searched the site and cannot seem to find a link for it. I sent an email to the reporter if I have any luck I will share.

I lost my Mother to cancer in 1999, after her death I volunteered for the American Cancer Society for several years and met young cancer patients. It just rips your heart out to see young kids so sick. As I spent time with them I found they all seemed to have a maturity and resilence that their friends and other kids their age didn't have. I see the same in Lane in his desire to raise awareness and help find a cure for this dreadful disease. God bless his sweet heart. Please keep speading the word.

Thanks Lizzee.  I agree about Lane's maturity.  He has grabbed the heart of our nation. God bless you and yours

Re: Huge Favor from all my Bona-friends

My wife just gave me the news that Lane passed away an hour ago.  What a brave kid and an inspiration to all of us.
