THE YARDBIRDS - 50TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT

THE YARDBIRDS are celebrating their 50th Anniversary! And in March 2013, they are  returning to their Twickenham roots for a special one-off concert  which will include guest spots with former Yardbirds Members.

Pioneers of the British rhythm and blues scene, along with The Animals  and The Rolling Stones, and famous for launching the careers of 3 rock  superstars -  Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck! The Yardbirds  will be returning to their Twickenham roots for their 50th Anniversary  Concert.  The band boasts two of its original members ? Jim McCarty  and Chris Dreja although Chris has been unwell lately and may not be able to appear with the band but hopefully will be making a guest appearance. They are joined by guitarist Ben King (who critics have compared to Jeff Beck) and two fantastic musicians, both from the UK, Andy Mitchell, a powerful singer, songwriter and formidable acoustic guitar player and harmonica player with a style reminiscent of the original band?s sound, and David Smale, a brilliant young bass player who brings both power and imagination to The Yardbirds? all important rhythm section.

Event is mainly standing, with some unreserved seating available.
St. George's Suite, East Stand Entrance,
Twickenham Stadium, Rugby Road , Twickenham TW1.
This event will be a sell-out so early booking is advised.
