Can't change the spelling after Dawg copied it.  After getting behind six runs I thought it was over.  After the top of the 6th still down three runs I went to bed.  Forgot last year's miracle endings could be duplicated.  Congrats to Washington on a great season and hope they figure out how to use their ace for next year.

I sent this post yesterday morning when I woke up around two am and realized my son wasn't home.  I sent him a text then and another an hour and a half later.  Woke up my wife and she called and texted him.  We never heard back.  He works late at his job, but he always lets us know where he is and what he's doing.  To make a long story short he went out to a  co-worker friend's house on my city's westside and fell asleep.  After they brought him back (he left his car at the cinema where he works) he feel asleep driving and hit a concrete abutment.  This happened on a busy four lane road and on a steep incline.  Miraculously his car didn't rollover and his airbag prevented injury.  His car may be totaled, but we're grateful he's ok.

Underestimated those Giants.  Great comeback in the works.  Lynn looked great then the trap door dropped.

Re: 2024 Major League Baseball season

After the Giants comeback in Cincy I'm sure not gonna give up after one loss. Tonight's another day another game, time to even the score.

Re: 2024 Major League Baseball season

Nice to finally win one at home. Now on the road again, where the Giants do their best post season work. Glad Vogey didn't seek retaliation on Holliday, Scutaro handled it himself with a 3 RBI knock.

Re: 2024 Major League Baseball season

J Dawg.... very well played game and huge win at home to even the series. The Cardinals are dangerous at home but I would be lying if I didn't say I am worried about SF capabilities on the road.... this is gonna be fight to the end!!!!!

GO CARDINALS!!!! 12 in '12

Re: 2024 Major League Baseball season

Holliday is not a dirty player...BUT!....his slide was wrong....he will get a fastball in the behind next year, just because....Scutaro better be able to play in the next game or the Giants will do what they have to do sooner than later....some of the so called "unwritten rules" of the game seam stupid at times, but that's how the players police their own

Now lets all pray for my beloved Yankees, ya know you want to tongue

Shred - I have to agree with you... I don't think Holliday meant it to be a dirty play or to inflict harm on Scutaro, however it was a little out of control or reckless to go that hard. With that being said, I think it was a legal play but could have been handled differently even in the heat of the playoffs. I respect Holliday playing hard, as a die hard CARDS fan, but could have hurt Scutaro or hell even himself for that matter. Besides that, it just wasn't smart... it fired up a rally by the Giants!!!

I actually would like to see a Yankees vs Cards WS!!!!! I think you know who I would want to win that series though!!!!! Hee Hee!

Cheers, Jason

Re: 2024 Major League Baseball season

I really hope the rain holds out here in St. Louis for Game 3 today.... Would love to see some really good baseball this afternoon and evening! LET'S GO CARDS!!!!!

Re: 2024 Major League Baseball season

Holliday's slide to break up the d.p. was just good hard nosed playoff baseball. The bruise was unfortunate but Bochy put it right. At least he didn't come in sliding with his spikes up.
Detroit has the Yankees on the ropes. I don't see them coming back from the hole they're in.

Rick, I agree with it being a playoff, do anything to break up the play. Unfortunately, Scutaro was injured in the process and definitely a shame and not the intent of Holliday. Hoping it just makes everyone play that much harder!

Detroit is handling the yanks! I definitely don't think they have a shot at this point.... but guess never say never!

Cheers!
