Topic: Acoustic Set

I didn't know how I would feel about the mini acoustic set Joe is doing before the shows. I have to admit not a huge acoustic fan but the vids posted so far are making me feel a lot better. Still having a hard time with Dislocated Boy being on that set list though. Saw it  "ELECTRIC-LIVE" this spring and was one of the highlights of the show. Still not sure but does anyone know/guess if the acoustic set will be part of the US fall shows?

Dont need a helmet to get me through life-walk across the water blame it on foolish pride.

Re: Acoustic Set

I'm guessing the acoustic set will stay the same, based on history. However, I hope I can relieve your concerns. I am a plug-it-in and let-it-rip kind of person myself, so, when I went to the acoustic show in Vienna, I had misgivings. However, Joe's vocal and guitar skills alleviated my worries. I did miss a few familiar riffs, but I was also blown away by the acoustic versions of some songs, especially DTTD! The acoustic tour was such a hit there was rumor of a full acoustic tour. I think adding some at the start is brilliant. It'll be fun to compare the electric version to the acoustic one after your show. My money says you'll be smiling the whole way home. wink  Cathy

Re: Acoustic Set

I for one like the accoustic set. Some of the songs, such as Seagull and Woke Up Dreaming are accoustic anyway, and songs such as Dislocated Boy and Driving Towards the Daylight are cool in their accoustic arrangement. Gives a different slant and aspect to the songs. Plus maybe it's a way for Joe to warm up his voice and playing before ripping into the electric part of the show.

Peace, out. Peter.

Re: Acoustic Set

I can only speak for myself but I am  soooooooooooo excited about the acoustic set.  I hope it stays in.  It seems a more intimate way to experience Joe and his talent. DTTD  on the acoustic sounds pretty good from the few clips I have seen.

Of course I am looking forward to seeing all of Joe's babies  being played as well. Mostly I am excited to see him again now that I know more about him and his music.  Love me some JOE!
