The Allman Brothers , Bob Weir and Keller Williams are doing some East Coast Shows this week. I see that Joe has some down time. There was a question posted some time ago"Who would you like to see Joe play with" This would cover it for Me. Joe,Bob,Gregg,Warren and Derek. I guess Keller can sit in too. So Joe if you have time and you're in Camden NJ and Bushkill Pa can you come out and play???????? P.S. I didn't call you Mr. Bonamassa. Darrell
joe lives on the west coast now so i don't think he is coming out to play on the east coast . i wouldn't mind seeing him play with all the people on that list but i will pass on bob weir and i am a very big dead head but bob weir killed jerry garcia and i don't want to see bob kill off joe also so leave weir out and we will call it a day . joe

jerry had a hand in it but it was bob cutting all the jams and speeding the shows up and not wanting to jam out so that had something to do with jerry partying alot more then he should of been . also i would say jerry was kicking himself for years about not kicking bob out of the band like he wanted to do back in 1968 . if it wasn't for jerry bob wouldn't even know how to play guitar jerry taught him ever cord he knows . anyway you can tell i am a big bob fan . i have been to 350 dead shows and about 200 jerry shows and i loved the jerry shows alot more then the dead shows .....joe

I'm not sure I buy your Hypothesis. Thanks for the reply...again. Always remember "We most go through what we went through to get to ware we're going. Nobody can make anyone do anything...in the end it's your choices that get you to ware your going to be." I'll let you know how bad Bob plays this weekend. PEACE Darrell
Thanks for the welcome Roy. Ive been on the seen from time to time. I started a post about the fact that Joe only plays for 1 1/2 hours or so... and He got back to Me with reasons why...Venue...not a jam band... I still think you can't make it to bigger places playing that short of a show.
P.S. Hey Joe just picked up a Kingfish...Live and Kickin' lp if you want I'll send a copy your way. Great Live record. Let me know.

I saw Joe in Baltimore and he played for just under 2 hours. The Other 6 or 7 shows I've seen...Just over a Hour and a Half. Maybe it's the fact I've seen Springsteen plat for 4 hour's and the Dead for 4 to 5. In fact there's only one other artist I've seen play for less than 2, and that's Leon Redbone. I'm uses to 3 to 3 1/2...Gov't Mule...Allam's. I told Joe I would pay my bottom dollar to see him play the Blackest Blues Note. Just don't think you can get into bigger places play that short of a show. That just my to 2 cents.
P.S. If you don't have it...go out and buy Gov't Mule's Deepest End DVD. You'll love it. it's a 4 to 5 hour show they did at Jazzfest in 04. Great stuff. PEACE and BE KIND. Darrell

i think i have that on disc . i have a bunch of kingfish shows some with bob and some without . i have to say i do enjoy bob with kingfish ....thanks for the offer joe

Darrell, I used to see Kingfish play in a small club in Walnut Creek, Ca. when they were gettin' started in '75. it was great energy, but you couldn't get too close to the stage cause it was rimmed with Hell' Angels tellin' Ace what to play. Robbie Hoddinott was just screamin'. I've got a couple CDs, ones a must have called Greatest Hits Live from the Beacon Theater NYC April 3, 1976 from the King Biscuit Flower Hour Archives Series. The others a real dog called Live At My Fathers Place in NYC without Ace and Robbie, what's the point, Torbert and Kelly couldn't carry the band by themselves.

THANKS TO EVERYONE FOR YOU'RE REPLYS. The last thing I thought this would turn into is a conversation about Garcia/Weir and Kingfish...Cool. Just saw that Joe had some down time right before his East Coast Tour, and thought He could "Come out and play". I'll let you all know how the shows went when I get back into town Sunday. First time seeing Ratdog. It was OK. There were moments...Derek playing a China Cat jam into I know you Rider that would blow the hair off your head. Weir play Help/Slip, but didn't play Frankin's. Then came out with the Brothers to play it...I think I'm bald now. The Brothers had me taking back things I didn't steal all day. You can down load the shows from there .COM...Well worth it. Steve Kimock played with The Brothers on Dreams. I forgot... Weir was wearing Nickers/Clam-diggers/Capries a real nice look for him. Peace ... Be Kind... Darrell
