Joe did a fantastic job that night and it was brilliant to see him and the band playing up close. The audience was quite pleased with the performance. Fresh and energetic. Love it!

Thanks for posting this, Ryn. That was a good article and all those photographs were wonderful. Gotta love the facial expressions, it shows how much Joe gets into his songs.

Thanks Ryn for sharing all the info. Love the photos.  Joe certainly gives it his all. Liked the article but do disagree with the statement that Joe does not take risks.  It is great to see how well received he is all over the world.

Nice to see you jump right in.

I liked the Bangkok Post review, and respect the opinions it contains.  There was much positive in the review, and it's worth taking the negative observations for what they are.

I think Joe's still learning to stretch himself, and know of others that express the opinion Joe's performances can come off as "canned".  I don't wholly share that opinion, but I can see where it comes from, to an extent.

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

You are welcome. The Bangkok post review is quite positive but I do agree with you on the 'takes few risks' bit but the reviewer might expect something that's out of the world. It's good review nonetheless. Yes, Joe gave all he has, I could feel his passion during the performance and  band members were fantastic as well.
There was a moment where the drummer doing his solo, Joe came on stage with glass of wine in hand, sipped his wine then carry on playing - casual-  like a boss! Love that he is being himself. He also talked and launched some jokes.
I will look for other Joe's concert review in Thai and do translation. Hopefully i can find some good one.

Can't wait for the next tour of Asia as I will definitely be in the crowd for a few shows.

If you look up to the heavens just before the start of every Joe Bonamasaa concert you can see Stevie, Jimi, Muddy, Gary and others leaning over God’s railing jockeying for the best view. 
And if you listen, you can hear Stevie say  “ SHHhhhh,  The kids about to start playing.”

Awesome post Ryn!! I was so glad to see "Dislocated Boy" on that list!! I am sooooo hoping to hear that one live next month!! I love that song!!  Btw, I was trying to post a pic of Billy G on here, but it wouldnt post for some reason!!
