Topic: Heard Joe on the Radio this morning in Fort Wayne

Joe played on z94.1 this morning here in Fort Wayne.  It was awesome!  He played Walk in My Shadow and Bridge to Better Days. It was the first time he has plugged in on the radio here.  Was kick ****!  Doc West is the man for getting Joe out to the people in Fort Wayne.  Can wait for the show tonight!

Speaking of Fort Wayne... I'm going there next month. What is the local music culture like? I know it's not a big city, but are there a lot of musicians there? Good music stores?

All-Original SG: The local music scene is not bad. Depending on what you're looking for, you can usually find some quality musicians once you sort through the crap. I'm in the local scene here and if there were more venues to play (not just bars and teen venues), it would be a lot better. We lack that, but nonetheless, it's not a bad scene at all.

Joe B tonight at Headwaters baby!!! Can't wait...less than 6 hours! WOOHOO!

They play him almost regularly dude. when doc was on 104, they played him too. 94 plays "H & N" alot. 94 acouple days ago had "joe day" were they play him every 10th song. very cool!

As for the scene, if you like blues, check out  G-Money.you can find about any music if you really want to.From death metal to hardcore basement shows (1624 Harrison street!) to rock radio bar bands to straight jazz(far between). But it's not the best scene by far. The Art scene is nothing to yell about ether. Fort Wayne is more a family function town. If you want to start a business and raise a family, move hear. If your 16-40 looking for things to do, move to Phili or something.

and for music stores, theres some good ones. Musicstar,Conser,Guitar Exchange(for your vintage/oddball guitars) and of course Sweetwater. We have a guitarcenter, but who really gives a f u c k? and regular music stores, go to Wooden Nickle. there a Mom And Pop music store with like 7 locations. They rule. I hate mall cd stores. You cant order japanese bootlegs if you wanted to. My buddy steve who on joe's crew said he dropped about 10 grand on 2 new axes yesterday.
