Absolutely zero information about this release.  Makes me wonder where the marketing people are hiding.

Anybody by chance listen to this release?  Looks very interesting.  Simon McBride's new one sounds good too.

Gary Moore - Blues For Jimi is amazing. Very true to the spirit, arrangements, and solos, but Gary makes it his own show. The songs with Billy C and Mitch Mitchell  are just incredible. Well worth the money. There are two clips from the DVD posted in my review for you to enjoy (courtesy of Eagle Rock).

I have it and it's good ... if you can stomach another album of usual Hendrix covers.

I grabbed the cd because it's it's Gary Moore doing Hendrix. But another album of Hendrix covers was hard for me to swallow.

Lukas Nelson did seriously righteous by Jimi with "Pali Gap / Hey Baby /New Rising Sun". Check it out.

I'd rather hear someones vision of - version than just another cover.

Just my opinion.

Re: Three Skulls And The Truth And Gary Moore Live in London

Was talking about 3 Skulls, not Gary.  Was able to hear s few samples and it has an unfinished feel to it.  Simon's album sounds ace like Pete said.  Will look into closer when I get back home

I got your message, but can't access it on my phone.  Not at home for awhile.

Re: Three Skulls And The Truth And Gary Moore Live in London

3 Skulls' album is some prime stuff.  I've decided though I like Luther Dickinson better just playing guitar.  Not a slap since Luther is fast becoming my favorite slide player.  Let Mato and David handle the microphone and all is good.  Listening to ZZ Top's latest effort I think the well is bone dry for my buddy Billy G.  If you want to discover the missing songs off Tres Hombres then look no further than the Skulls' "Coming Home". It will make Billy cry like a baby and "All I Know" is the rockingest thing Mato's cranked out in some time.

Simon's really getting good.  Him and Oli are starting to separate themselves from the rest of the pack.  The Blood , Sweat & Tears cover is an amazing rock song.  Gotta limber up my headbob.....

Hey, if I start drunk posting I would hope George will help me out.  Just feel like drinking tonight before I head back north tomorrow.  Just me and my crazy dog, the Ryder Cup and maybe Trey's high school game to watch.  I'm good too.
