Topic: New Joe album on itunes now!

Couldn't believe my luck - didn't think I'd get my hands on Sloe Gin for a week or so but it's available from the itunes store NOW!

But it might only be available in Europe - I've just checked the US itunes store and it's not showing up.

Makes up for my disappointment of missing out on his UK tour dates!

I'm only two tracks into it but it sounds  AWESOME!

I guess all you Joe fans in the US might have to wait a while longer to hear it. Definitely worth the wait tho!

Yeah! I´m, listening to it right now!!!!  Total Bliss!!!

Sloe Gin is pouring out of the loudspekers right now. Somewhat different than the live version. Equally exiting!!!!!!!!

Apologies -  Sloe Gin IS  on the US site only there's no album cover showing up.

Just key in Joe Bonamassa and all the tracks off Sloe Gin are there. Enjoy!

Yes you can, Jane.  Just put the tracks from Sloe Gin in a playlist and burn it to a disc.

Bought em all.  Listened to all the songs.  This is a great cd.  I've still got my cd on order with Amazon.  Hopefully, will get a chance to have Joe sign this one.  These songs take you all over the place.  Simply magnificient!!!

I'm currently on my fifth time through the CD smile

It's amazing. The guitar solos aren't (like Joe said) hit-you-over-the-head, but once you really pay attention they're still complex and beautiful.

The album is a beautiful one, complex, deep, with meaning, taking you in a wide range of directions, yet as a cohesive unit. Truly an accomplishment. Gorgeous work, Joe. You should be incredibly proud of the effort.

Personal favorites so far: "Ball Peen Hammer" "One of These Days" (probably the fav so far!) "Sloe Gin" "Jelly Roll"

All of them are great though, I really like every single song (as always...)

Planet Rock have been whoring this album for the last few weeks (especially Nicky Horne), and I was expecting something special.

When I found it on iTunes this morning, totally by accident, I downloaded it straight away.

I AM BLOWN AWAY.

Absolutely amazing work, best album of the year so far. The title track is a masterpiece, Seagull is an absolutely beautiful cover of an already great song, and there isn't a substandard track on the entire album.

Joe, you are, indeed, 'the man'.

After listening to it a couple of times, I am really impressed with this album. Joe's voice continues to improve, and I am very glad to see that he has taken the guitar playing down a more tasteful road. I really like artists that will not go all out with solos and such on record, and then just open them up live. This gives you something to look forward to when you see them. Joe, I take my hat off, this is a great piece of work. I'll need to give it a few more listens, but I'm thinking this could be his best work.

After the first listen through, the new album is certainly impressive and going down a different road.  Joe's vocals indeed shine, even with some delay/reverb.  Sirens!!! glad I was not in my car...  This album has it all, heavy, light, slow, fast pace and a theme.  It will take a couple of times listening through to digest it fully though.

Well done Joe, Kevin and everybody else!!!

Yes, this is Joe's best and most complete work yet.  No time for a big long review yet, but it gets better with every listen, too.  And I noticed that on iTunes this morning Sloe Gin is the #8 album in Blues, and it hasn't even been officially released yet!  Truth by Robben Ford is #1.  Let's get Sloe Gin up where it belongs people!

I heard Sloe Gin live a number of times, but this studio version left me speechless; with this song, Joe makes despair seem like a good place to be!  Title track and the rest, this whole CD is truly a work of art, from start to finish.  I just love it!
