My brother in law and his son in law, a big time Steelers fan, do an annual to the Raiders-Steelers game in Oakland. Loser pays the airfare. My BIL is the brunt of many family jokes for this. It is rough living in a house of hard core Charger fans.We do humor him in his misery. tongue He is as hard core Raider as they come. Undies, socks, house shoes and bobbleheads. He has a Stabler signed jersey and team signed ball from the championship year in his office. He does think Raider Nation fans go a little overboard, relating from last year at dinner in a nearby hotel restaurant that two fans got into a fistfight, knocking down tables, chairs and each other arguing about play calls in one more losing effort. lol

I was wondering what the BIL stood for.  I thought you just left the last "L" off the name "Bill"

Are you kidding me, ha ha.  Your Brother-in-Law is the coolest one in the family cool

Next time tell him to bring the Bona-Banner with him to the Raider game so I can pick him out in the
crowd.  Let him know he can borrow my Raider make-up anytime.  Especially if he ever wants to get rid of that Stabler Jersey.

Raider fans going overboard? What? You mean we don't look like your normal Sunday Church Choir?
fistfight? knocking down tables?  If there any kind of Raider fan, you know they must have eaten all the food first before you go destroying a table wink

Then my football pick is BIL over SIL.  hope they both enjoy the game smile

I will pass that on to my BIL! Good luck to the Raiders, they're going to need it!

OMG Rick, what a total bummer. We think it will be televised here as the 3:15 game since it's Atlanta market, but not 100% sure. If they give us something else I'm going to be really pissed off.

It's a sign Rick, it's a sign, ha ha.

I am actually sorry and surprised that that particular game didn't sell-out with the 2 teams playing.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Adrian Petersen back indeed, and the Vikings take it to the 49ers, playing their game even.  Jim Harbaugh seemed more concerned with his scalp itch (dandy-rough?) than the game.

3 games currently in overtime!!!  Five (5) reversals of calls on the field in Saints-Chiefs game?????  No need to wait until week 6 for craziness and second guessing.  Head coach Joe Philbin of Miami calls time out to ice Jets kicker Dan Carpenter (already missed 2 earlier attempts), the kick was blocked, but good on restart of play for win in OT...Chiefs 500+ yds total offense?! 5 field goals...Brocos with 5 points right now-only one way to get that total, FG AND safety!  What's next?!

Please be okay Darrius Heyward Bey.

I am really Raider RiverCat^-^ pissed off.

The NFL needs to get the regular officials back.  That was a helmet to facemask hit.  Illegal.

All rules are off now, Pittsburgh.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

The Rai-Duhs deliver for Coach Allen's Birthday and beat the team the Raider Nation has no love lost for!!! Hopin' all the precautionary measures made Bey's injury look worse than it was. These refs have got to go! The talks sounded hopeful earlier in the day, but apparently went nowhere at last word.

Thanks JDawg.  The only news I heard so far was Darrius was able to move his extremities, which is a good sign.  They said they are keeping him overnight. That is all I have heard so far.  Any updates would be appreciated.  Better to be cautious.

Yeah it was great to see Jano hit the winning field goal.  They made sure to get it on the grass for him, as opposed to the dirt.  Especially for the effort the whole team put in. Bey had a touchdown earlier in the game and that was great to see.  Glad to see that  Offensive Coordinator Knapp finally put in the no-huddle. That is one of Carson's strong points and it really helped the team. They finally used our FB and TE better too.  It was a very tough game.  Our defense came together in the 2nd half and made some outstanding plays.  It was a game of 2 very polished Quarterbacks and Pittsburgh's defense is always up there.

RunDMC did a fantastic job.  Especially in the 3rd quarter when he got hit and went down on a Steeler, but his knee wasn't down and he ran for 5 more yards.  Then the next play he got hit, but still ran and lunged to the goal line.  Unfortunately his forearm touched the ground first before the football crossed the goal line. Dan Fouts, the commentator, was very impressed with the extra effort McFadden gave on both plays.  He thought it was better than the 64 yd. run TD.

And that 64 yd. run was a power play and not the zone blocking scheme.   Just like last year.

We know Mcfadden excels at power blocking, now we will just have to wait to see if he can have those types of runs in this new system.  It's going to take time, because he is a power blocking runner.  And a big shoutout to the offensive line, Carson Palmer's best friend.  They did a tremendous job against a tough defense.  They deserve some Bar-B-Que.

Our Special Teams Coach just should stay at the Bar. Coaches like he is drunk.

It was a pleasure to have Dan Fouts commentating on the game.  I enjoyed it.  He said Carson was like a General on the field.  That's a high compliment coming from a Great QB like Fouts.  He gave the Raiders many a great game, it was good to see him in the booth instead of on the field.  Dan Fouts was so good at calling the game, I was wishing he was one of the Replacement Refs.

There were a lot of blown calls today.  I hope it's not like this for the rest of the season.  Can they come to a deal soon?

Re: The NFL - National Football League

The NFL Network asked a good question.

I know it is still early in the season.

But which is more of a surprise to you?

The 3-0 Arizona Cardinals?  or The 0-3 New Orleans Saints?

My pick is the Cardinals.  I thought last week's game was just a surprise.  But they did it again to my surprise.  Larry Fitzgerald one of my favorite receivers, would of loved to have him on our team.

Re: The NFL - National Football League

Man it is just getting brutal today.

I just saw this happened to my 2nd favorite AFC team.  I was keeping an eye on the score, but didn't know this happened.  Both my teams won today, but 2 bad injuries from illegal hits.
