Topic: My Flying V project!

I got a RAS Flying V body kit off of ebay, and this thing is sweet! It's got a maple neck with an empress body, supposed to be really light and resonant. I'm calling it the "Flying Dees!" smile This baby will be a deep green with gold hardware including gold Grover tuners and gold Burstbuckers. Here is the photo album. As I do work to it, I will update this post and add more photos. smile

That's the deal, this, along with wiring, pickguard, pickups (selling those and getting Burstbuckers), tuners (selling and getting Grover's), and tailpiece and bridge, was only $150 off eBay. All the hardware is gold, so partwise, all I need to get are the tuners and pickups.

I noticed on the site, the V had block inlays, and your photos hav the trapezoid inlays... did your ebay auction photo have block inlays or trapezoid?

I'm liking the trapezoid inlay myself!

I believe it was the trapezoid inlays on the initial ebay photo. I'll have a look at it later.
