Topic: when you're having a bad day.

HI All

A friend of mine sent me a link to this video that i think has a great message--even if the video itself is a tad corny. (uh..actually it is like majorly corny!)   We all have days when we can be gruff, inconsiderate, impolite or whatever with others--especially to those in customer service positions.  But we don't stop to consider what struggles that other person may be facing.  I think it behooves us all to be as kind as we can to others---like that old Pretenders song  says we should all "have a smile for everyone we meet".  Especially in these tough times--with high unemployment and financial uncertainty a reality for many.  Ok---here's the video..you'll get the message!

Corny or no, have to agree, what a great message.  Several messages, in fact.

It's so easy to get wrapped up in ourselves and our personal situations.  And forget that the world is full of people just like us.  We could all stand to wear those "Get Service" glasses, from time to time.

Thanks for sharing!

I'll add a contribution to the thread, as this video reminded me of a blog entry I read last year about the importance of kindness.  It's a short read, and I hope others will have a look.

Play like you've worked at it, and don't worry about sounding like your influences.  You can't cheat on them, or your practice, anyway.  If you've worked hard at your skill, your audience will know it.

Nice one JBFan4Life.  I think kindness is especially important now when the whole freaking world seems to be topsy turvy.  We are all on this ride together--it is made so much nicer when people are kind.  I just wonder why some people don't get it.
