Topic: Thanks for a Great Summer in Europe

Hello Everybody,
Thank you all again for a great summer in Europe.  We all had a blast.  It was 7 countries over a 5 week period.  Planes , trains and Tour buses.  Got alot of great photos on the I phone and if I knew what I was doing in the least on a computer Id post some here.  Thanks to all the great fans for showing up and supporting us.  Some very rocking senarios for gigs.  Ancient Roman era town squares, Following Steely Dan , Playing with Dr John , Joe Cocker , The Fabulous Thunderbirds ect..  Didnt gain any weight which was good..  The only negitive part was at the very end.  Flying home from Birmingham UK.  Customs police mistook my standard issue Zantac 150 anti acid pills for XStacy.. Id like to personally thank the Boots Pharmacy in the Birmingham airport for sparing me a night or two in the Englands finest 5 star Jail..  Hope all is well.. We will be cranking it up again in 10 days for rehearsal.  I also think that we added a gig on the 25th.  Close to Fargo I think..  will get back to you on that.
Thanks, Cheers, Gratsais , Tak, Danke viel   Joe Bonamassa

Re: Thanks for a Great Summer in Europe

Sounds like you had a great time! Did you catch Kirk Fletcher with the T-Birds Joe? SOooo..any chance you can do a DVD from the Paradiso this fall?  Congratulations on another, as you say Great Summer, hope you Europeans enjoyed us sharing him this year! One day I fly, but who will bail me out of the 2 star when (not if) I get into (read cause) trouble? Been a hot one back here buddy, how about cranking it up a notch for the dog days of summer?

Re: Thanks for a Great Summer in Europe

Thanks for coming over to the UK again Joe. I was at The Borderline last year and Shepherds Bush Empire earlier this year. This time round I saw you at Mr Kyps in Poole and as usual the show was fantastic. It was great to actually meet you and the band at the end of the night. Unfortunately you signed the back of my £20 note so I'll have to catch you in Amsterdam in October and get you to sign the front of it smile. Keep on doing what you do Joe....you're the best!!!!!

Re: Thanks for a Great Summer in Europe

Thanks for the update Joe, glad you were spared the dungeon!   Really sounds like a great run in the seven countries, nice to hear such positive feedback from the European contingent.  Ten days of rehearsal, any new/old songs that you are going to put into the rotation?  Already have tickets for Raleigh and Richmond, hope there are going to be some more southern dates added.  Look forward to Sloe Gin being released in less than two weeks...

Re: Thanks for a Great Summer in Europe

Welcome back Joe, must have been great in Europe, I know how passionate they are about the blues. Get some rest, and switch to Prilosec, we dont need you being hassled and stressed out...lol
The forum is working hard to get "sloe gin" to the top of the charts.

Did he tell you it's all about the money (when he autographed it), GSJ? If yes, don't you believe him!  He does have a healthy sense of humor!

Re: Thanks for a Great Summer in Europe

First of all..I second the thanks to the European fans. You always make it an adventure for us. Show reviews and ML's antics keep us entertained! Having no "black-out" times keeps us all astir! Joe, I've always wondered..What is an appropriate tip for a body search? Cathy
