I stand corrected!

Actually, Angus uses Superlead amps, and has also used JCM's.
Can you back this up?
Over the Wizards he uses today with the fake Marshall front...

It seems he's used all of those amps at one time or another.
Carol-Ann...just the best ever.

Any clips?
Is there a difference between an OD2 and OD3?

According to the website, the OD3's clean channel has been "updated" from the one used in the OD2 series, but doesn't say what that involves. And, of course, there's that extra channel thing...
To me, the best news coming from Carol Ann recently is the announcement of the low-power HS-2 head, which will give some of us non-professional players (and apartment dwellers) something cool to play with at a price that won't break the bank: http://www.carolannamps.com/hs2.htm
Sub $2k... I'm thinking that's still not a reality to my budget. But I don't spend 2k on guitars either.

Neither do I, for the most part. At my level of ability (a tick or two above non-existent!), guitars, amps, pedals, etc. is really more of a hobby. I spent more on the EBMM 25th Anniversary (see my avatar) than on any three other guitars I own combined, but that was a special case (I have a rather sentimental, emotional attachment to that particular instrument vis-a-vis Joe). Same thing with amps (I own three amps I'm happy playing with and haven't spent $1000 total on amps yet), pedals (I'm kind of picky about those, but aside from a Supa-Trem and a couple of cool Wamplers, I don't own anything that cost a particularly eye-popping sum)...
As far as the Carol Ann HS-2 is concerned, I'm excited because it is unusual for such a high-quality maker to come out with something that won't peel the paint off my apartment walls. If my playing ever gets to the point where I decide I've "earned" something that nice, sub-$2000 doesn't seem so ridiculous to me. I have friends that have spent more than that on fishing and hunting gear...

Hi I am fortunate to have both the OD2 and the OD3. My OD2 has EL34's and the OD3 has 6l6's. You can get them which ever tube configuration you want. I wanted them different for more tone options. The OD3 difference is the 6L6's but it also has an extra channel. It picks up where the second channel of the OD2 left off. You can go to clean to insane mean in a step of a switch. All I can say is these Amps are something else. I can't describe how great they sound and how articulate they are and how great they feel under your fingers. I have seriously played these amps until 3am in my studio getting lost and forgetting about time. For Me a Fulltone tape echo in the effects loop and you have tone nirvana.
Cheers Ron
Everybody is after clips...working on it. Need to get something up for Jim @ WCR, soon I hope. In the studio and mixing now, so busy. It is half carol-ann/half marshalls on the project. I actually play metal so not sure how it will translate here but, the carol-ann will do everything quite well. Ron is pretty much dead on with his review, all I can say is wow. A DD3 in the loop and I am in heaven.
I've decided that for now I will go with a PTP wired bassman clone. Then next will be a mid to late 60's Super Reverb blackface. Then probably a Marshall JMP 1. And then I'll start saving for a Carol Ann OD3. This will be a fun adventure!
It's a sickness for which there is no cure. (thankfully not fatal, though)
Depends if you got a wife and you don't tell her about it first. Then its fatal.

Good point. The side effects can be painful and/or deadly.
Yes G.A.S is a sickness, but I can think of worse things.....yahhoo gimme G.A.S.
